I clicked on your thread to see what new takes/insights a long time grower is using.

Hopefully I will bring something new to the conversation that you might find helpful. Feel free to do the same should you visit my thread. I have been working toward simplifying hydroponics. I feel I have done that, at least for me. Passing this on, not trying to jack your thread, but I think you will find it helpful

When using DWC, I, too, had mega slim issues. That led me on a 2 year experiment with a stripped down version of high pressure aero (>100psi) short cycle feedings ~ 3 seconds every 4-5 minutes. I was never able to produce anything AWESOME, but it taught me a lot. I started developing a modified F & D., which I ran side by side, using the exact same nutes (DM Gold, full AB line) until 2 grows back when I switched to hydroponic research VEG+BLOOM, a one part dry formula.

Anyway, I combined hydroponic concepts of hpa + flood and drain (my first effort growing mmj some 33 years ago) + low pressure mist above the grow medium, and developed a simple to make DIY system that eliminates slime, uses 1/20th the nutes, which are fed during early veg every 45 minutes for ~ 20 seconds 24/7, though night feeds can be quickly eliminated using a simple analog o/o cycle timer as long as you manually reset it each morning.

If interested feel free to click on my sig, and check it out

In the mean I'll catch up with your thread, but after reading about the slim, I thought you guys might want to know about an alternative

Again, apologies for jumping in here. I promise to be quiet now
Thanks and Thanks for the info! Im going to look over there now. Always glad to learn something new.

Glad to hear that. FYI, I was editing my post while you were responding. It's much clearer now
