Hello All,

My specs are

7' H x 6' W x 7' L Grow Box 1000 W MH

I plan on cutting and installing an exhaust duct into the reflector, and using some tubing and a fan to push the air out of the room.

I also plan on having an intake fan to bring in fresh air.

Anyone think I'm nuts? Is it tall enough enough room to work around in?

All comments will be appreciated.

I imagine it would work, as long as you had a "cool tube" kinda thing over the bulb that would draw out heat, but even then you would need to keep that light all the way at the top. Also, It is better to have only a passive intake so you can scrub the air with a carbon filter or something when you draw it out. Either way, it is up to you, just throwing in my two cents.

:joint:So your working with 294 cubic feet. One 1000 watt light will not light it up 4' off the ground will do an area of 4 1/2'. If your hood is sealed then you can cut holes and cool it 6'' sun court inline will do. Use need to move the air in the room two oscilating fans will do makes plants strong. You need a intake and exhaust controled by a thermostat http://www.growerssolution.com/page/GS/PROD/thermostats/daytonthermostat
get two of those they work great. Your inline goes on with the lights and off with the lights. For your intake and exhaust I would recomend these

these inlines wont loose that much power in a long run of ducting they consume less power and are very quite.
It takes some money to set these thing up trust me I look for good deals and dont like to waste money on stuff you dont need I just want it to work good and produce. Buy good lights never go cheap on those digital is the way to go on the ballast I like to use this hood it's huge and thin it dosent waste alot of light reflector close to the light and the socket is areodynamic for max cooling air flow this thing was like wind tunnel tested LOL.

I appreciate the responses a lot,

I have revamped lately, and the room is open at the top now, its now about 7.5 - 8 foot tall, with a vaulted ceiling, so there is a variance from right to left.

Took everything apart, and treated all around the area with an indoor bug spray, just as a precaution.

Walls are back up, I plan on putting at least one fan in today, and see how the temp does with a day of only the light in there.

I may take you up on the offer for some more questions later, Blueberry. Thanks much,
