Im in my 7th week of flowering white widow. Stopped giving them nutes like 1 1/2 weeks ago. Im using a 250watt hps. Im just wondering when the best time is to cut these things down. The buds in the middle of the plant have about 80% red hairs, compared to the very tops(that are closest to the light) that only have about 20% red hairs. The buds closest to the light have pistils/hairs that are basically pointing straight up. Does that matter? or will they wither into the bud itself when i dry them?. I was thinking about just cutting off the buds that have the red hairs, or should i just cut all of them down? I was thinking about just giving them another week but i dont want to wait to long, cause i hear that they will lose alot of THC. Please help, im freaking out man!!!! lol:fire:

Its funny cause your main picture...is exactly what they look like. What do you exactly mean by Flush?(sry first time grower) Cause i did water them about 2 days ago. I heard it is not good to water them on the day that you chop them down.

Flushing is to get the nutes out.I do 3x the size of container 1 gallon flush with 3 gallons of just plain water works for me and i start 2 to 3 weeks before harvest.

Ive been watering them for 2 weeks now without nutes. Just my normal routine..half a gallon of distilled water each plant or until the water drips out from the bottom. Should i just water each one with a gallon of water then chop them down when the soil gets dry?????

water your plants till the drip tray fills with water. this process flushes your root system. and stops nutes going up to the buds and giving them a bad taste. but if you've only got organic nutes theirs no need to flush.:weed:

Organic plants need a good flushing too. The plant stores extra npk in its tissues, whether the npk comes from miracle grow or bat guano doesn't matter.
This is kind of an urban legand about organics

trich's play the part not pistils (hairs). my plant has been producing layers of pistils. the moment i think they're done a new set of white pistils form. the trichromes are the key. at first they'll be clear, then they'll turn cloudy then amber. i have cut at the cloudy mark and have noticed the cerebral buzz and have cut at the 50% cloudy and 50% amber and the stone is suprisingly different. i'm not far enough along to cut at all amber but the thc degrades when all the trich's are amber so i'll chop finally at the 80% amber 20% cloudy. that is basically the gist.

you should read the grofaq it has the detailed specs.
