I would kindly ask that you take a breath Ml :-) I think you are putting the cart in front of the horse just a tad. "Patience is the key to success".
Harvest is just that ... It is the time when you cut down your plant, and reap the rewards that your plant has given to you. It is an act of love. Love it, and it will love you back. The correct verbage here is Flower or Flowering Stage. Most plants (depending on strains) go anywhere from 48 days, and some up over 100 days of Flowering. You best bet is to calm down ... I know it's hard, for we all have been there as excited as you are currently. But you have to. For both yourself, and the plant that you love and are excited about. Take the time and effort and watch the vid's. All of the info is there, including what nutes to get and everything. Trust me. We will be here tomorrow :-)

Words of wisdom! +rep. All these questions and many more you will have can be answered by my 1st suggestion. And be careful, nothing has harmed or killed more plants than their overly excited parents loving them too death.

That soil must have something in it to produce such a lovely plant. Your green thumb can only go so far, she must be eating something. As for mixing your own soil, be careful and don't over complicate things. There are many good soils too choose from. I use Fox Farms Happy Frog. A lot use Pro-mix, Roots organic, and Fox Farm Ocean Forest. At least thise are the main mediums I have seen growers use on RIU. If you truley want too mix your own check the Sub-cool organics thread here on RIU, good info on this subject.

haha just goes to show bkbbudz is right! must spread some rep around before giving again lol

i like where you're going with making your own blend! there's lots of info on soil in the organics section. hate to just point you in a direction...

i started with roots organic soil and have no complaints. i'm experimenting with fox farms now. the more i play withand look into my ferts/ammendments, the more it all makes sense to me.

if you just want to buy nutes in a bottle, i would recommend dyna grow and dyna bloom. my buddy had some good success with those.

My first grow is with Root Organics. Great results !! Too bad next time I am going Hydro, but if I did soil again, I too this an "Experiment" would be in the cards for me. Love the variety of everything :-)

am i totally screwed if it is in fact a male plant?
A learning experience is never a complete waste of time. However aside from perhaps making a small bit of hash, or collecting pollen for when you are more experienced and want to experiment with genetics. A male plant produces very little THC.
