Day 16 of 12/12

not much is goin on. just chuggin

aside from all the random burnt leaves, the 2 ladies are lookin good. I've been puttin em out in the sun during the day and then under the cfls when it gets dark. temps outside can get to 90 during the day. But they seem to like it (at least the light).

They were watered on DAY 13 of 12/12
2 quarts
pH 6 water
almost a full dose of liquid nutes (10-15-10)

Just fixed up the second level on my growbox.

I cut the males, but took one to the other balcony to mature. Does anyone know how many seeds you can get in a bud. I was planning to pollinate one or two of the smaller buds to get some seeds to keep playing with.

Here they are outside

Then another quart after all water in the catch tray was absorbed about an hour later.

Lookin good. I have em out in the sun when I can and under the cfls when I can't.

Not using the UVB bulbs I bought because they gettin it from the sun.

looking great! i am on day 18, i think i overwatered and my plants are just now recovering... i think my yellowing was because of so and i watched them for a few days and seemed to be getting better... I am going to wait until day 30 to start to veg... I used mg organic from all the reading dont really know if i should just start giving them N's until i start to flower... u've been a big help though... i appreciate ur effort's!

Quick Question - if you notice a leaf that is yellowing should you cut if off?

some people choose to, it will drop off itself when it's completely useless, any time before that means that it is still photosynthesising slightly.

basically, you either remove leaves for aesthetics, to stop them covering a new growth or budsite, or to remove the chance of mold or contamination.

Day 30 of 12/12

Yeah.

As you can see, a lot of the fan leaves have been removed from my plants because they yellowed and crumbled. Like he said, as long as they're on and they've got a bit of green, they're still harvesting sunlight for your plant. But once they're yellow and dry, they pull right off the stem w/ almost no force. Increases light penetration and airflow.

I've hit some pH problems -> ah what a shame. The soil pH is just too damn high (~8). At the same time, since the pH is off, the plants aren't drinking all the water and the soil is still wet. They're nearing the end of their life so i figure at this stage it's better to overwater them in order to correct the pH. So, I've been flushing the soil with low pH water (pH 4-5).

We've had another sort of heat spell recently, so they've been a bit hot.

pH issues, high temps -> stunted growth / buds.
The buds should grow to completely cover the stem (not going to happen w/ these =/)

On the bright side. The buds look very nice w/ lots of trichs.

Peace

when they're in veg, they need lots of nitrogen.
when you flower them, they need more potassium and phosphate.

fertilizers have N-P-K values on them that stand for percentage available nitrogen, phosphate, and potassium.
So for veg, you want High-Low-Low
For flower, you want Low-High-High

update pls!!!
im at day 65, flow day 30, got 3f!!!
took about 12 days to clearly id sex, i have a 12-55-6 nute, i thought it was way to hi n, but the plants have responded well with moderate feeding... does anyone recommend leaf feeding as well at this stage? I know one thing they will definitely let you know when water is needed!!! they will wilt and the overnight its like they're back like magic... plants are really picky... but its good to see how slight variations can make such a difference... i will start tasting bout week 6 of flow from my tallest plant... does anyone recommend when to feed/water ie day or night? ive been doing so right b4 nighty nite to try to have them absorb it at night, but ive seen when i havent watered them enough and had to add during the day... post some picks i like to compare!!!!
