Hey whats up. I have a PC grow going right now, on week 2. Going good. Ok, when I started out, I didnt line the inside with anything because I wanted to see how good it would be with heat before I made it more reflective (also I had no mylar ). Some things I will tell you... Heat wasnt an issue, the PC had 1 intake and 1 exhaust fan, and it was cooler in the PC when I opened the side panel then the rest of my room. Plants are good at 6" LST'd. It's some W.W. x B.B (big bud)....so hopefully it turns out good, any questions ask away :)

actually just took me a few days as I was getting the parts here and there when ever I had some freetime from work, spending time with junior....and the girlfriend....lol.......Harvest time thanx for stopping by man.....I have a question for you....What is powering ut fans? I have this problem finding a power source adapter that can power up my fans at full speed I have 4 of them.....and they are rated as follows the first 3 fans are rated 0.16a and the last fan that I purchased seperately reads at 12v 0.25a any tips on where I can find and adapter to manually connect the fans so they are running properly???? Thanx CM

hey i got two pc fans goin good now, .16a means 16 MILLI AMPS!! just if you didnt know, go to radio shack or hit up allied electronics, just google for the web site they have every single rated power adapter u could want. EVER!!!! if they dont have the exact same one you need, get one with a slightly lower amp rating than the fan says... getting one with slightly higher will bun out the fan or shorten its life.

I gotcha......raeman......But here is the mathmatical problem......all 3 of my fans are rated 0.16a or 16 milliamps as u stated and one fan is rated 0.25a what size connecter do i need to power up all these fans to full power withought overloading what size....the last one I bought had on the back saying 12v 800mA and it did not work like it should of the fans were really low.......

Blaze1up it was pretty simple to take apart just unscrew the bolts and seperate the ballast carefully from the light casing....the photo security sensor I just took off and got rid of....dont need it....just wire accordingly with the respective colors.....red with red...etc...:peace:

ok ,, 1 more thing ... after i bought mine & looked at it ,, i noticed a little green ground screw inside of the mounting area of the fixture ,, so i went to hardware store & bought two 6 inch solid copper ground wires ,, & attached them from the light fixture body to the grounded plug i had to also install ,, am going to runn it from a plug rather run straight to the hott & neutral wires ,, so my Q is ,,, where can u ground it to after u remove the fixture ????

well i am not an electrician but i do work with wires etc a lot, if you run a parrellel circuit to your fans they all need to be the same amp rating because paralel circuit split up the amps of the power supply,,,,,, so,,,,,, say you have 3 fans rated at .16a,, then if you used a power supply of .48A, that would be perfect, because it would be divided by 3... if you used 800ma, that would probably burn out your fans, so if you can find a supply 400ma and hook it up to your 3 fans it should be good for them. 500ma shouldn't be too much of a problem if you cant find 400ma. i like to under shoot the rating so i know the fans wont die while im not home and burn my plants.

all u need is a powerful exhast fan at the top of the pc case...and just cut a small hole at the bottom of the pc case and the air will get sucked the the whole case...u dont even need intake fans on somthing that small..as long as u have a good exhaust it will suck air rite threw that thing!...good luck man this looks like its gunna be a bad ass grow!

Thanks for ur input....I went out and purchased a higher output adapter from radioshack and it was 1500mA and its working flawlessly.....I didnt go with a lower amperage power source since I was told by a few people that if I went lower than 700mA I could risk of a burnout since the fans power source would be to low to manage 4 fans...... all wires were set up parallel...

Thanks Gnome for stopping by man I got the problem solved and the fans are running smooth....2 intakes and one exhaust temps staying in the upper 70's to low 80's with the hps......:hump:

oooh goodness... a real PC case grow... neat!
lol.....Yeah thought I start one up here.......2 seedlings broke dirt and one survived........Damn anyway the one sprout is looking pretty good....I did put another to germ..........pics up soon....Thanks for stopping by lumberkjack....

another thing you could do if it gets too hot is put a piece of plexi glass or somthing similar at the top of your case so the heat from the light stays up there then you can just exhuast it from there
