Was wondering if this is a good bulb to have on a almost 3 week old.

Again 75 watt bulb 1300 lumens 5k light spectrum. Just bought it so I'm hoping it's a good warm bulb. Assuming I want a warm bulb for vegging?

Let me know if ya need additonal info

Just put two 75 watt cfls on it hoping that'll be good an not fry it? One is above the 3 week old about 2 inches away.
The second one is a little further away and positioned to light the bottom and sides.

im thinking those are 75 watt equivalent and 500k shouldnt be used as the main source of lighting, that should be extra lighting to broaden the spectrum more, put some 6500k on there as your main source for veg

one single 75W will be fine for starting out but further along in veg you will need some more light to help your plant grow. doesha is correct never a bad idea to have a 6500k during veg they are pretty much the best color to use

Yea I recently found out about the 6500k and realize that's what I needed.
Can someone explain to me the watt equivalent and the actually watts?

Also what wattage bulbs usually come with daylight 6500?

I can't waste any more money on not " useless things" but wanna get the required nessities.

incandescent equivalent is never important real watts is what your looking for. they sell 20w and 26w at wal mart

First off let me start with a thank you for yall's help. Greatly appreciated!

And I'm going to go buy a 6500k today I rekon.
Correct me if I'm wrong but the watts don't matter at all. Lumens and light spectrum is where it's at?

**edit**. Just looked at the bulb itself instead of the package and it said 19w Which would mean its a 19 "actual watts" Bulb

i found all the way up to 42 watts at wall mart for the brinks 6500k at 12$ a pop and 42 watt 2700k at 8$ a pop, id used the 23 watt 650k and then add the 42 watt 270k for veg and keep adding till you cannot take the heat anymore

Yea buddy just bought a 23 watt 6500k daylight.

So I currently have x2 23w 650k bulbs and x2 19w 500k bulbs ( also daylight )

What would you guys suggest of a combination of the four and which (if needed) kind of other spectrum would be good to add in a early/mid vegg stage?

A 2700k would be good
Just bought a 2700k. 63 watt soft white 4200k lumens. It's massive.

So meow currently shinning on my three week old is:

One 23w 65k Daylight shinning the side
One 19w 5k daylight on top
One 63w 27k soft white angled across the plant vertically ( big bulb )!

Is this a good light set up and could it be better just using cfls or other inexpensive lights?

Also Im wondering if I should kick the 5k daylight and put another 65k on top?

And any tips on keeping this 63w for heating up the plant as much?

You can get a y socket and add as many bulbs you can till it can't take te heat. A 3:1 ratio of 2700k:6500k when you start to flower

Y sockets a good idea! Having a bunch of clamp lights is weird.

Also should I get rid of the 5k?
