$750 Max on LED for 4x4 - What would you get?

For the same price as HLG 600 you could get two triple slates, 6QBs and two HLG-480
They would probably handle a 6x6 when maxed out if you do upgrade later.

Opted for the HLG 600 even though it's a little more than an equivalent DIY option... 721 out the door no tax/shipping is solid. Plug and play, saves me the time of jacking with framing out the other lights.

Mostly the decision was made due to warrantee. I'm working on starting my own commercial op (outdoor) and this is one less thing to worry about while I'm focusing on the big project.

Almost all- I was checking it out but it's 47" long. The light would make constant contact with the walls of my tent.
(also, already ordered the light)

You don't need so much negative pressure that the walls of you tent get sucked in. The only reasons to maintain negative pressure are to prevent odor from escaping or to bring in cooler air from outside the tent. With LEDs heat isn't that much of an issue and you can always mount the drivers outside the tent to cut down on heat even more.
You can improve the air intake (an inline duct fan can help or opening more than one intake "port) to lessen the pressure and you can use 3/4" pvc to brace the sides (Gorilla sells a kit for their tents if you want to check it out).

Good luck with your new setup.

Looks like a good light! But same I’m in a 2.5 x 5 tent.
That’s an a” x a” light. I need the a” x b”. Also with HLG’s sale right now, the 600 was $721 total free shipping

HLG is a good company and their products are good quality and durable. My only issue with them ... and all of the QB style products is that the PAR map is heavily center weighted and weak at the edges. The newer bar style fixtures seem better suited to an evenly lighted canopy.

True and I’ve heard multiple LEDS is better then just one also giving you multiple lights on hand.

if anything I can supplement with smaller lights on the side.

You obviously haven’t looked at my setup (all that is done already). It’s not a matter of too much negative pressure. Most 4x4 tents are actually like 46/47” from support to support on the inside without any pressure. It’s the biggest issue I see with the strip builds- 44.1” for the strip before even adding a frame is tight. For the record I have one 8” and two 6” intake ports going (all filtered off course).

all of this is going to be null once I upgrade I hope. Eyeing a legit gorilla tent this time... especially with the headspace requirements on this HLG

Nice! Mine came in quick!
Nice, I'd love to swap my lights and hope that I get some added benefit from doubling the wattage in the last 3 weeks of flower. My current light is about 46% as power as the HLG so I'll start around 50% and crank it up a bit over the next week.

And it’s in, just barely plugged everything in and adjusted the height before my night cycle started
Looks perfect! If they could smile they would be in those picture.

can wait till my grow is as far as yours.

what height and power do you have it set at?
What are the ducts from top to bottom in your tent for?
