like many subjects, people will complicate things like harvest. hairs do have plenty to do with harvest time, if theres more amber hairs, youll be getting more of a couchlock high than anything due to the THC degrading to CBD/CBN, white hairs means its still THC and you will probably get a more racy, energetic high, come curing time you can let them sit longer and let the THC degrade to CBD/CBN, although letting them run longer is better for trichs and overall potency, many have different opinions on what they believe to be time for harvest, so a big part of this is how you like your bud.
you dont need a microscope to determine these things, yellowing leaves usually appear around harvest time given the fact you dont feed them nitrogen up to harvest, this can effect taste in the bud. like monkeybones said, the more exposed parts of the plant and the closest to the light will be getting most of the energy, so chopping these first and letting the lower branches run is a good idea, i dont do this because im usually training them to grow equivalent buds, the goal is to keep them all at the same height so you dont let other get ahead. it looks like plenty of those hairs are still white, so like others said, let em run a little bit longer.
OMFG totally wrong to judge the by the hairs color what type of stone you will get. Also the development of THC to CBD... ?????????

yeah it actually does, hairs show maturity, as they get farther along into flower, i, and many other will agree you will get much more of a couchlock effect, i have plenty of grows under my belt(im not trying to boast here) and i believe this has become apparent over the years that when you harvest early, or when there is almost all white hairs, you will get more of an energetic high rather than couchlock, of course everyone is effected differently by strains but a majority of the people who i have smoked with have told me what kind of high they get from my bud, i recently had to clip a plant early due to it going back to veg, the buds werent completely premature but there was little to no amber hairs, i and many of my friends got an energetic high from it. its also strain dependent, and if its a sativa or indica, but no need to overreact and start your posts by being dramatic, if i think someones wrong i say why, rather than saying OMFG(sorry if my post shocks you that much), simply state why they are wrong and show your reasoning, you did none of these things. and yes, thc degrades to cbd/cbn if you were not aware.

View attachment 2209267View attachment 2209268 thank you for all replies ill just wait for a few weeks then chop ill start feeding just water from tomorrow :)
they look nice and frosty, have you seen any yellowing fan leaves towards the lower nodes yet? this usually means they're using their secondary energy source to help out the swelling, this, and amber hairs are usually how i determine when to chop. if your feeding synthetics or salt based, yes, flush to get rid of salt buildup, but if your using organics youll be fine. i honestly dont flush, i keep feeding until the last day but i cut nutes to about 1/4 or 1/6 what i would use normally, and feed some bat guano for extra phosphorus and potash, however my buds still come out with smooth smoke.
