Yea but catch trays are good for me because when I water It seeps out the bottom. Then an hour later the water is all drank back up.

Also I live where it is legal for MED. If you don't it's harder to move. And insects would love a bigger breeding ground thats harder to treet. It is possible and would work but in my mind there are more reasons why not to then why!

GOOD LUCK EITHER WAY!

Hopefully someone who has done this before will see your post.

water will pool at one end of bath , root tangle will cause the stronger plants to kill off the weaker plants.

What you should do is put them in planter bags in the bath or in separate pots in the bath. then at least theyll be alone in their tubs.and drainage can go down plug hole.

fillling a bathtub will soil is going to create alot of problems and also be a helluva mess.

Water shouldn't pool at one end if prepared right.
A tub naturally slopes towards th drain.

I would pull out the drain cap/stopper and insert a PVC pipe up to above the soil. At the bottom of the pipe, drill a bunch of holes. Surround it by rocks/gravel.

Now when you water, it will drain down the house plumbing.

Adding in the PVC pipe means you can still run a snake down to clear out any clogs.
