Hey fine people!! Okay, so i'm gettin ready to build a rather large grow room, 12wx25-30Lx10-12h, with 8-12 1000wt lights, sealed room environment w/ Co2.
I'd like any and all input! I've got the rough dimensions, and done calculations as far as lumens per sq. ft, semi-decided what products and methods are going to be used, but I would like some input, especially from people who've done bigger ops before. I've subtracted 4ft off the width and 8ft off the lenght to allow for aisles, room to move, etc. when factoring lumens per sq. ft. If I go with 12 lights, i've got 10,000 lumens/ sq. ft. of utilized space. Tell me if i'm missin something, factored something wrong, etc. Please!!
Okay, so like I said the room is going to be sealed; the only exhaust is going to be for the air cooled lights. Fresh air pulled straight through the hoods from outside the room and vented back outside. The room will have one, or two if necessary, portable a/c units, one dehumidifier, one sulfur burner ( for powdery mildew, etc. ), Hydrogen water cooled Co2 generator. Big Can fan and filter running inside the room for odor control. Hmmmm...lets see. Lights might be on light rails if I can still swing the cost. Growing medium will be a personally blended soil mix, with lots ( 30-50 % ) of perlite, and other goodies. Watering will be done by hand initially, might automate and/or switch mediums in the future. We'll see after a crop or two.
Having 100amp service panel brought in; lights will be on 2 50amp 8-junction timer boxes, or maybe 1 50 amp and 1 30amp 4-junction box, both @240vlt. A/C will also be on 240vlt, the rest of the equipment will be ran off 120vlt 20amp circuit already in place. Lights will also have a Hi-temp kill switch controller in place.
A/C , dehumidifier, sulfur pot will be controlled by a Sentinel EVC-1 Environ. Controller. Hood exhaust will be controlled by a seperate temp controller, probably a TMP-DNe Day/Night controller.
Co2 will be controlled by a CAP PPM-3 unit.
Probably going with one of the larger reflectors, SunSys. Magnum XXXL, Yeild master supreme, Sun. Supply Great white, or Hydrofarm Mondo.
Couple 2 or 3 16" wall mounted oscillating fans for air movement.
Probably going to use Advanced Nutrients products for nutes.
I've got lots of things figured, and i'm not going into alot of the finer details here yet, but where I'm uncertain is for instance, Canfan and filter inside the room. Should I run it only during the light cycle, or at night as well. Should it be continuous, or intermittant, and should I hook up a speed controller to the fan, or always let it run at max cfm's. This will be my primary source of odor control, so I want to be certain. I will put a smaller charcoal filter on the hood exhaust line if it seems to be pulling any odor with the heat, but the reflectors will be sealed, so I don't know yet if that will be an issue.
Room will be framed normally, pressboard outer, 2x4 walls, sheetrock inner, also framed up off the concrete floor, possibly with some cheap white linoleum as flooring. Haven't decided yet on either flat white paint or Panda paper for the walls.
Will be growing 30 plants cooperatively with my good friend, also a medical MJ user, so were covered legally. They will be very big plants to compensate for the relatively low number.
Okay, so am I missin something? Bad calculations? Anyone ever done this size op before? Or has anyone used any of the products, equipment , etc. that I've mentioned? Anyone done a sealed room before?
Any and all advice would be welcome and much appreciated!!!!!! ++++++rep
Thanks in advance!!!!!!
