I have a couple that are close to seven feet too and they are all stretched out like yours. Never again will I let that happen!

Mines over 7ft tall now in a 3 gallon container. I had no idea it was going to get this out of hand. It drinks 2 gallons on the hot humid days.

8.5 feet, well subtract the height of the bucket, it's totally possible. I would drill big holes and bury the bucket in the ground with more potting soil, but thats me. Feed on a regular basis, water daily.

i ll get the pics i apparently dont have enough time to look at the computer all day waiting for some one to post. its 8.6 ft without the bucket but it looks like dirtyds picture so i dont think i will be getting much of a yield. i had them sitting in a hole 18 inched deep in a low lying area of my yard surrounded by blackberry bushes. all i was looking for is the best way to improve my yield. ill try to post around 10 tonight when im done working so you guys dont have to sit waiting.

All the doubters and nay-sayers find it difficult to believe...but they must have never grown in shady locations. I believe you.

Use molasses fed, compost and Indonesian bat-guano teas. Store-bought cactus fertilizer is good for flowering (2-7-7) or some types of orchid fertilizer (5-35-15). Or, go to the hydro store and have a pick of scores of various flowering formulations.

edit:
And I would like to add my approximation of 2-3 ounces at most on that photo above...depending on how well you trim the buds. Most of the times I have grown plants in the shade I had to leave on a good amount of the small resonated leaves. It makes the smoke harsher, but if you are not selling it and smoking joints it isn't that big of a deal. It will definitely extend the time you get to spend with your homegrown.

Those pices of shit plants look nothing like mine why would you say that are you blind. Come on man may be next year your plants will look like mine this year they dont even look like my potted plants which will get more bud than those string beans. One plant more bud than everything in your pic look at stalk and canopy. With that said wow you do have a pic. Good Luck dirrtyd

LMAO he told most of you... idk why people have a hard time believing this... this whole 1 gal per foot rule cracks me up and people live their lives by it... I have a couple 6 or 6 and a half footers in 3 gallon pots... Ive seen some people (some of the best growers on this site) grow amazing plants in 5 or less..

and to call his plants shitty... not cool... were all here to grow and learn... no need to put his plants down because he proved he was right when you didnt believe him...

pics or it aint true
Not true...not true at all...it took me a month to figure it how to download pics..someone told me i couldn't grow in white.buckets..then said i was lying..i have six foot indoor plants in a five gallon so id say outside in the sun an 8 ft sativa is easily reachable in a five gallon bucket....i believe you.man.

he already posted a pic so u should believe him... i wasnt saying i didnt believe him i was just saying without pics talkin about it is pointless. u know how many people hop onto this website talking bout oh i got a plant this big and i got a plant that bushy and yadadadadada... and then they dont even post no pics. and if it took u a month to figure out how to UPload pics, not DOWNload, then u sir have bigger problems than the guy with an 8ft plant in a 5 gal bucket.

lol at these foos . hey i was thining about letting a plant stetch like this over like a 1 month period by raising the light constantly so i can put out like a 3-5 foot tall plant next grow season in like may

first id lst a clone and get it kinda bushy at like 1 foot tall and then i want to just keep the light to far from it so it will stretch a few feet so it will be big ready to fill out early
