8 Weeks of Flower, How long till Chop?

It has been 8 weeks since I flipped the lights to 12/12.
I grew her under CFL's and grew as organically as I could. alt the 5 doses of molassas and 1/3 of a tsp of MG my buddy had me convinced she needed.( yellow leaves...) I do not have a scope, and I read on here that harvest time could be told by the ratio of brown/red pistols to white ones. I grew her as best as i could barring in mind my inexperience. I was wondering how long you all thought I had to go before the chop?!?

I also for the first time...Touched the Buds! 1 of them anyway!
It was an exciting and anxious moment for me.
To my surprise, it was firm! I thought for sure that they would be airy!
Lol, to be honest . I noticed some sparkly stuff on my fingers, so I smelled it!
Oh, it was so good!

Thanks hogbud! Hmm, What kind of pics would help? should i go to a more lit area? or just closer?

I know, I know. I planned on ordering one online, and forgot. Don't know where to get one anywhere else. Figured she would be past the 50/50 ratio I was going for, if I had to wait for it to arrive.

Its looking gd your leaves are yellowing they say you have bt 1 or 2 weeks left when this starts to happen and get scope for your grow then you know for sure

Thanks dan! good to know. I gave them that MG shot of 15/30/15 last week bc of the yellowing. I have pulled off 3 of the bigger fan leaves so far due to yellowing. Pulled as in gently pulled down and they popped off that is

closeups (macro) with a good camera will show trics

Yea if they juat pull of with out effort its ok i think there yellowing as i say near the end and the plants uses the fan leaves to get the last nutrients used up thats why they yellow

Looking great for a newbie run Indica, but you need a scope or if your camera has a macro function, use that and zoom in closer. Forget what you've ever heard about pistil shape, colour or size, go by the colour of the trichs, regardless of strain. White/cloudy trichs for more of a head stone, amber/gold trichs for a couch-lock/heavier stone, has never failed me, and I'm an old guy that's been growing this shit since before you were probably born

looks like all cloudy to me, if you want a racy head high you could chop, I would wait a week or 2 if they were mine

Still don't see any amber

Hogbud, would 2 weeks give me a 50/50 ratio of cloudy amber? or will that give me mostly amber?
Also, will it still put on weight if I let her go a week or so more?

I see some minor foxtailing, so yes it could put on a bit more weight and once they start turning amber it can go pretty fast it all depends. if you let em go you should check em everyday

Indicia, do you mean you're shooting for 50% amber trichomes? If so, why?

According to this sticky, amber trichs contain degraded THC that's lost up to 90% of its potency.

that is not completely true, yes THC degrades to CBN over time but it has never been found in fresh MJ, it takes 6 months of improper storage for it to even begin. I have been researchin this for months LOL
