82 degrees in flower ?

yeah, it's the difference in IR that makes it necessary, temps in the high 70s give you good leaf temps with the ir from hps, led has no IR, doesn't provide as much radiant heat, so requires higher temps to achieve optimal canopy temps
That makes sense :) .Probably why I've seen some led rigs with uv tubes attached to them.

I am running an led light and my temps are steady at 80-82 degrees with lights on. I know this is a little high according to most grow info but will I be safe during flower. Has anyone run into problems from 82 degrees? Thanks

Really depends on the strain, when I ran that high of temps my quality suffered, I noticed they weren't as resinous and they tended not to get as dense. Although in the the many years of growing, I have found a few strains that don't care, but they were very hard to come by. I have grown over 30 strains and only two of them had those characteristics

must take you a long time to grow at less than 80 degrees!

mine frost up fine at 95 degrees!

and still 2-3 weeks to go on one in pics

Led light can run 82-84, “no infra red groom led lighting”, plants should be fine, check leaf temp. S/B less than space temp with IR lighting.

I run my ac, I keep my temp at 75f, when you start to get into the 80s you can run into trouble last year the heat messed up my grow and I ended up with popcorn bud, use a fan to disperse heat, do not take this as advice, I never tried it, but I did read if you mist only the bottom of your big fans this helps cool off your plant, I never did it beacuse I'm afraid of mold, otherwise if u can't use a.c. I would move the light away from the top of your plants, and use a fan to disperse heat.

In the summer my room can reach 85-90 but I do have 2 fans going at all times so air flow is decent all-be-it warm air, with no issues, no signs of heat/light(it did take a few times to dial it in to where I am at now). There is a temp point where THC/resin glands actually start to deteriorate, what that is I don't have off the top of my head, but I also know that it does take time for that to happen too. I have see grows with no AC that run high 90's with great results so I think a lot has to do with the strain and your other conditions(outside in a lot of regions push high 90's consistently). I have not compared actual smoke grown in 90s vs standard temp, I don't have space like that. The higher heat will also increase the smell so give your girls a good sniff, if its more potent than usual and you notice you're running hot n humid or that you've disturbed them somehow that is the sweet smell of degradation and you might wanna address this; that is if you can.

It depends on the strain, i only grow indica or indica Dom hybrids witch tend to dislike heat, buy a strain that can handle heat, lot's of strains grow in heat, do your homework so you wont run into this again, my homework was buying an ac, your friend.

It just depends on the srain is all, some plants love heat and humidity, some dont, go on Leafly get some info, as stated I grow indica thus no choice had to buy an ac, I live in the CT river valley it's hot and humid, my friend grows outdoors he bought something called pine warp, we have been in a heatwave for 2 weeks, he wanted me to check something, I thought they would be all wilted nope, they like it hot is all.

Strain dependant, tropical strains might find that chilly, more polar strains might wilt from the heat. If it's possible to determine what land races your strains were bred from, you should be able to make an educated guess as to what your optimal temps will be.

On the LED thing, LEDs don't waste electricity in the form of heat so many growers making the switch find themselves shitcanning the AC, adding a heater and a dehui.

No bealeave me the a.c. is fine I'm running northern light at 36 days 1 is up to my chest, my little 1 is a bear too, I'll run them in veg mode till day 60 an wack em with botanacare pro flower base and Atami bloombastic, both plants will be beasts I can tell.

can't figure out what this low temps stuff is all about..

many places on the planet from where we get our favorite strains have late afternoon temps well above 90 degrees

ever heard of transpiration...increased transpiration from lower humidity and higher temps (and fan) make for increase in uptake of water along with nutrients making for bigger buds

I like my temps around 90+

I grow with LED's and add CFL's and shop lights to bring temps up
