86 degree tent

240cfm fan... inline centrifugal fan....... or a 'booster fan*' (*max speed when installed in a closed system with a main fan pushing it)

Go big on fans, always easy to put on a speed controller, not so easy to force more airflow than design allows.....

My early grow room used a 4" exhaust fan system to go outside, matches bathroom/laundry venting.... later did portable a/c vented out the window.... (warning, SMELL, cant filter this way)

You gotta vent somewhere, gotta have the 'fresh' air be cooler than the temps, and after a few hrs of lights, that may be tough... I would go with a window A/C unit in the room, a 400cfm 6" fan on the lights, pullin thru a filter....
Just can't afford a filter right now, I'd rather have the ac. I honestly don't know the best approach to take. I can't vent into the attic cause my wifes dad owns the place and he would flip out if he saw a hole in the ceiling after I was done growing. I'm in a tough spot, just bought too small a tent

Nice I really think I'll be able to drop the temp at least 4 to 5 degrees by venting out of the window and using a window unit and I'll run the light at night, I'll start at like 7 pm and left them go till 1 pm the next day before the hottest part of the day. Then from 1 to 7 have the light off, I think that'll work well
That's what I had to do run them at night add a ac and have my exhaust fan run 24/7 now I stay around 75 but every now and then it creeps to 80 but I'm doing good for 2 600w hps in a attic I can only run my a.c. during lights out aswell since I'm on a 20a breaker so I set it to run from 12-5 n the first light fires up in my veg tent at 7 and flower tent at 10 this sounds like something similar would work for use as well since the first day it was 70 out my temp went to 95 yikes that's what made me change over

ur good on the filter til ur at like 2-3 weeks into flowering... for venting, do you have a window? Cut a board to fit it snug, then use a circular saw to put a hole for the venting. works like a charm. (Look at vids or instructions on the vent kits that come with portable A/Cs you will see exactly what I am talking about.

Hell put 2 holes and run ducting to them, can put one exhaust one intake....

check out this cheap ipower 8" inline for $30 it pushes 420cfm which is great for that price! Having an exhaust separate from the one on your hood will greatly help reduce your temps.
THIS is exactly what I warned you about, don't fall for idiot stickers, and big numbers with a * next to them...

It does NOT push 420cfm (by itself) it pushes up to 420cfm when installed in a closed vent system with a blower motor or similar ventilation device....

Get a 6" 400+cfm centrifugal inline fan. Do not go cheap on fans. What can you possibly do, make things too cold? Doubt it. Too hot? EASY.

IF you install an A/C.

If you put a window unit into the main room, and vent the tent into the main room, fresh air in from bottom, all is well.

If you have central air, vent the tent it out the window the way I said, and seal it up best you can w/ tapes/foam/weatherstrip.

If no A/C at all... same setup as central A/C.

If portable A/C, vent that bitch out the window as it says, but set it up in the main room, where its cool air will be easily pulled from the intake, and make a hole for the drain line to follow the exhaust.... sames LOTS of trouble.... (remember, this one smells pretty hard core when flowering, if going this route, get some solid ducting or stovepipe, and a rain cap, put the exhaust above roof level, or the whole side of the house stinks)

There is/was a Fantech 8 inch for sale used on Ebay for less than $100. I just bought a Fantech 8 inch and there is no need to put a speed control unless it is humid. Humidity is the weak link when it comes to activated carbon.
