8x 600 watt led lights with 12 plants

Currently just started growing and spent about $5000 on a 8x8 room and been possibly planning on going bigger it all goes well with this yield but anyways.

My main question is..

If I had an 18’x8’x8’ room and grew the legal amount for my state which is 12.. would it be possible to yield the 2.5 grams per watt ? Or would I have to have more plants for that to fill the room completely full..

4800 watts x 2.5 = 12,000 grams (26.7 lbs)

Would that be impossible with 12 plants ?

Id say if you knew what you're doing you'd be happy to get 1 gram a watt.Strain has a lot to do with it also.
Honestly I’m just asking a general question like if it’s even possible ? Forget me being a new grower. Is it even possible to yield 26 pounds off 12 plants with 4800 watts of led using a high yielding strain maybe say white widow ?

It’s not impossible, they can spend 3/4 of the year vegging and fill the room then flip.
But I feel like one run a year is a waste of time and money like that.
Have your smaller room run 3-4 crops a year.

Edit-just get that 8X8 dialled in and keep the size your at

Thanks bro. I don’t understand when people have their opinions which shed no light nor help when new growers ask a simpler question.

Thanks for such a simple answer that answered my question unlike buddy above you lol. Appreciate it. What I plan on doing is keep the 8x8 and use 4x 600 watt MH HID lights in there just for veg. And then build the other room on the other side of my basement which could be built up to 20 foot long but I was planning on going 16/18’ by 8’ wide and Use that for the flower room and have 6 plants in each one. Possibly get 6x 800 watt LEDS and literally have 1x 800 watt led per 1x plant.

I use a 670W light (iL8x) and pull 1.8 pounds on average every grow. I only grow 4 plants and thats around 1.3 gr/w. I think you COULD get maybe near 2 g/w with an amazing setup and environmental conditions dialed in. But IMO 2.5 g/w on that scale of workspace would not be possible. But would be amazing if you could prove me wrong and do it!

Ayyyy welcome to growing! I don’t think you’re going to see that sort of yield with plants in my opinion. What you’re wanting to do is grow 3lbs a light as a consumer, which is 50% more than the industry standard of 2lbs per light. However, The Grove in Denver recently pulled 6.32lbs per light with 16 plants under each of their Fohse A3I lights in a 6x6 setup so wtf do I know?

That said, I suggest studying industry growers, not consumer growers if you want to maximize yields. Not all of their methods scale down for consumer application but there is insight to be obtained from them. So far as I can tell, lots of people here are just trying to grow high quality weed for themselves and their friends which is a far cry from what industry is doing; methods vary wildly.

I’ve hit over 3 per fixture(de hps) my last couple runs. And don’t see dropping under that very often. I’m pretty sure those foshe numbers are off as well I saw something about that it either included trim or something else that threw the weight off. I do copy and base my rooms off commercial set ups and recommend that approach to any one setting up rooms. The industry has spent a lot of time and money figuring out the best way to get good numbers and quality so just find a garden you believe does both and copy their methods.

It's incredibly unlikely. 8x8 rooms a good bit of space but you still need walking space, space for dehumidifier, humidifier and fans and reseviors (even if you're in soil or coco no way you're gonna be able to doing all that watering by hand.) I'm trying my hand at scaling up too and it's more work than you'd think. Good luck though shoot for 5lbs to start. And for an 8x8 you only need 4 600s, there's such a thing as to much light and even with co2 8 is to much for that.

Edit just noticed the 18ft. Doable, but gonna need more light.

There is guy on here who has 12 plant grow and yeilds 45lbs every 2 months approx, so yes, 6x6 on switch cycle, one person veg, one flowers. Or have 2 people vegging for you. Hes using 16k watts l think. 2 grams a watt is pretty good in anyones eyes, 2.5 goodluck but can be done. Id love 1200 grams from my 600w light. We will have to see! Keep me in loop please!
