9 days old-leaves drooping?

First time grower here again. Got another question for you guys.

What could be causing this? Two of my plants are drooooopy. One more than the other. The soil is pretty dry, could it just be a simple lack of water? Everything else looks okay with them.

I've already went ahead and watered them some, the medium felt really dry. Can anyone confirm if that was likely the cause?

Thanks much for help.

pics sideways again  ill try to fix that next time

Go to Wal-Mart or somewhere like that and get a soil moisture meter for $5. It will tell you when your soil is moist or dry.
You should water until you see water run out of the bottom of the pot. Let it dry out completely over a few days and then water again.
Not sure of your watering schedule but you need to flood and drain rather than water a little every couple days.
Plant looks healthy so it should respond well.

Yeah, I don't have a rigid watering schedule yet, simply because I felt like the plants didn't need that much water at this point.

So you suggest soaking the two in question completely until the water runs out of the bottom? Is this something I should do to every plant every time I water every few days?

Lastly, the water meters you're referring to, are they those clay worm things? I saw some of them today. Pretty cheap.

Yes each time you water til you see runoff from the bottom. Check it with the meter when it says dry then water again.
Plastic meter with a metal probe meter like in the link posted above.

that is watering 101. When you water you use a shitload of water. but then you wait until it is about completely dry. plants roots like to breath oxygen believe it or not.

Thanks.

But regarding my other question, every time I water the plants I should stop when I see water beginning to drip out of the bottom, correct?

Thanks so much for all your help, everyone.

well that would be considered fully watered. but a lot of water should come out the bottom.

ps. if you water and the water stays on the top for along time look into getting some better soil. or aerate your soil.

Youre not wanting a river coming out from the bottom. Once you see the water start coming out then thats enough. Get a METER & save a headache!!
Don't overthink it. It is just a weed. Good Luck!!

I agree with everything you said. spot on except NEVER let it get dry. Water it at bottom of moist. you will fail to do that of course and once in a while it will be gry but its a mistake and you should scold yourself when it happens. roots die when they are dry.
