9 week old NL auto flower not frosty at all

Hello. I am new to this forum. I am growing a Nirvana Auto Northern Lights plant. I stunted this thing pretty bad the first few weeks. I started it in an orange juice carton and it did not drain at all. I transplanted out of that into a half gallon blue paint bucket around week four. The soil is happy frog. Ive been using some cheap nutrients that have fish crap in them basically. I have nuggets but they arent big and they basically dont have any trichromes. Its nine weeks old and, I dont know, it looks like its gonna need to go another month or something. Anyone ever have this happen? Did I just stunt it really bad. Also this plant hates to be dry. I water it constantly like every day and if it dries out at all it gets all droopy until I water it again.

Also I switched from rain water to tap and i dont have a ph meter right now so I have been relying on the nutes to keep the ph ok. I think there might be calcium or something in my tap water though because Im noticing a slight white film on the leaves at times.

What do you guys think?

I also topped it once. which i later read can slow them down. maybe the top and the transplant is just going to make it take forever. which is a shame because I bet I wont get much over a quarter off this plant. hopefully a half.

In my experience, topping or fimming an auto definitely stunts it and, requires a little more time because of it. The auto I topped ended up with pretty fluffy airy buds too. Although, that may have been because I didn't give it the extra time it needed.

Also, the white film could be salt build up. I notice it on my soil some times if I don't add enough distiller water. I've had a nasty salt build up that gave my plant a bad cal/mg def. So definitely keep an eye on that.

My advice let it finish, give it 3-4 weeks longer. Just start another seed to keep you busy if you've got one. Good luck!

^^ start another seed if you can and don't make same mistakes again
stick with rain water if you can . don't transplant her either . don't top or fim . you can tie auto=s down if you want but I would just let them do their thing .
keep lights 18/6 . oh and most importantly don't water every day . water as needed . good luck

I have another auto going (jock horror) on three weeks and its amazing looking. its already like five tiers high bigger around than my hand and has fat white hairs and tons of the little branches close to the main stem poking out so I'm happy about that. its in a three gallon pot too. Im hoping to finally get over an ounce dry off a plant if this one goes well.

I always heard autoflowers have a genetically predetermined life span and nothing you do can change that so in a way im pretty interested in my northern lights plant. its not a bad plant at all really. its not that big but it doesnt seem to have any real problems it just doesnt have trichs and looks about like a 6 week plant when its nine. pretty interesting actually. I wonder what the stone will be like.

I do like giving them rain water but i hate stockpiling it. I feel like the nl stopped progressing when the jh got established and started growing. two auto flowers on around 18/6 and one pretty much stopped doing anything when the younger one started up. its almost like its waiting for the jock which is growing pretty textbook so far. maybe theyll finish at the same time. thatd be friggin weird. all the hairs are still white so im just letting it grow.

Just gave both plants some nitrogen guano. the nl is starting to suck the green out of the leaves and the jock is just growing fast so they both can use it. I think Im gonna start ramping up the fertilizer. its all natural organic stuff and after reading some fox farm chart I have decided I could be getting alot more out of plants with heavier feedings. I am going to beef up this plant. will post some pics at ten weeks or next saturday after a couple good feedings. hopefully it will be bigger.

does anyone have an opinion on alaska nutes. they are cheap as hell yeah. i have some miracle grow regular and bloom booster i got a long time ago from my parents but ive been using this alaska stuff for awhile. it seems to be ok but I really have nothing to compare it too. and the grow one stinks to high hell. literally if you spill any its like a fish is pissing and shitting all over your face. nasty.

alright its a day early but ill be working all day tomorrow. here she is at a full ten weeks. still looks nowhere near to being done which is kinda getting me stoked now as to worried like how i was in the past. i read you are not supposed to top autos but i think both of these tops are going to be bigger than my last nl's single cola grown in the same pot before this. i still have no idea if i did anything significant or if its just this particular plant but the northern light before it from the same seed pack was totally done at eleven weeks. this ones hairs are, every single one, still white thick and fresh. I upped the feeding and now i realize i was not giving these plants enough. I am not going to worry about nute burn or over watering from now on i feel like i have naturally too light of a touch with that. Im dumping water on them now and it shows i think shes gotten a lot fatter.

half gallon pot and two heads. and i threw in a picture of my room. I got this three neck gooseneck desk lamp for ten bucks from this lady off cl. i love this lamp. swivels any direction and stays there. i can keep six bulbs up close to any part of the plant. that led board idk who the hell made that thing or if it even really helps but it looks pretty cool. the laid down one is the jock that i just tied down on wednesday. I dont know if the jock is rushing and the nl is slowing down but it kinda seems like it. if they both end up finishing at the same time it gives me an interesting theory about autoflowers and interactions between plants. i hope the jocks side branches develop a lot more. i think the jock is in a around a 4 gallon pot. its at four weeks tomorrow.

im thinking about going and getting some tiger bloom or some crazy bloom booster. still using tap water. ill add a tiny bit of alaska if its a plain water day which isnt too often anymore to hopefully bring down the ph. they seem good.

i keep my place cold. i hate the gas bill and its been cold this entire plants life. like sixty most nights and tops 75 if that since it started. that may be why shes not very frosty.

i was low stressing the jock horror today, trying to bend the main stem around the lip of the pot and I creased the stem pretty bad. I tried to just prop it up with one of my water bottles but the stem seemed so frail like completely hollow and flimsy so i just tied it down onto the lip like I planned and now there is a crease in the main stem. i guess i should be thankful i didnt snap it.

if anyone can give me some first hand experience of what to expect after folding or creasing a stem pretty bad id appreciate it. i know some of you scrog guys have to deal with this all the time, right?

alright! new forum. nice. here is the nl at 13 freakin weeks. they say you shouldnt top these things but i dunno i think i may continue to do so. that being said it has been a very long time.

ordered some seeds 4 to be exact and got six free seeds : ) got some photoperiods i can clone so im all set for awhile. cant wait to blast out some kali 47 and tangerine dream. gonna do all my autos for the rest of summer then next fall start with the new photoperiod seeds.

here she is. coming down on sunday probably.

and here is a new nl i have going it is ten days old. its even bigger today. you guys want me to top this one again? Im thinking about it. I dont like lst because its a pain to water the plant. but I need to decide to top it or not by this weekend.1396930363932.3.jpg 1396930491320.2.jpg

Hi zdm. I'm on my 1st grow - 2 N lights Autos and they're doing great. My apartment is cold all the time as well.I also hate heating bills lol.But the plants seem to be thriving in this temperature.Im in Scotland as well so when I say 'cold' - lol.Its about 13 degrees at night just now. I started using some good Nutes that I got from the HP's shop and my 2 kids have really been doing great since their 1st feed.Don't want to start writing the type here to look like im advertising.Their on my thread.
But the ONE thing I think has really helped my 2 plants do this good so far is that I have been really stingy with the water, then I give them a good drink, Not enough to drown them though, and don't water them again until the soil is dry right through.I believe that's done them pure wonders......Anyway just a bit of advice from a pure novice.Hope your plants are great.
