90w LED vs 100w MH for VEG?

Recently came up on a free 90w LED ufo. i usually veg a few plants under 100w MH and it seems to do the trick. My question is which would give a denser, closer node VEG? if anything i can use both but, im trying to save a little electricity on the 24/0 if i can. Haven't found any real comparison on the issue yet so some insight would be appreciated.

if you're not too set in your ways, just maybe try 16/8 instead of 24/0 and then use both.

i use led's for veg along with some flo's .. i found the led's does seem to help keep the nodes closer .. but it could also stem from the hrs i veg .. i use the 12-1 method .. 12 hrs on .. 5.5hr off.. 1hr on .. 5.5hr off .. also helping to keep the plants shorter and bushier .. and saves a little hydro too ..

Ill definitely end up using both at some point in the grow, but for seedlings 190w is a little over kill. Still trying to figure which one will give more compact node space. From what iv seen led's give faster growth. bump.
