sup fuzzy i actually just watched a grow journal of a guy using a shitty tri band ufo on 19 plants and he harvested a litte over a qp of dense nugs,that helped me make my decision to go led.in addition to that hightimes ank skunk magazines which are two magazines dedicated to medical growers each just did comparisons of the 90w ufo against 400w hps and the ufo put out 15% more yeild than the 400w using a srain called cali-o.about a quarter of the electric was consumed and their was no need for expensive can fans and all that jazz because the ufos generate very little heat.(my closet sits at around 7on the second run the led yielded 10% less but the potency was much higher in the led buds.now the light that i own is actually a top of the line ufo,and the company i bought it from is honest.sean the rep has actually become a good friend of mine over the course of my led experience.he called just to make sure i was happy when i first got the light and about once each two weeks after that to keep me informed on some new products in the mix.they have a new 90w led coming out that put out 3x the lumens of my current model and mine won the 2009 annual grow boys competition in new york.it was put up against the 4 other top of the line ufos available on the market(all of which are atleast 100-200$ more than mine) the lighthouse hydro model that i own blew the other 4 out of the water,and the rest is history.so if mine is this good already i cant imagine how the new model will perform!here is a link to the light i own,i suggest it to anyone trying to get into led that is unsure of where to turn,this light is exactly what all led growers wish for when they first plug their models in.i will be sticking with lighthouse hydro ,i am adding another 50w ufo to the flowering area at christmas time it is a present from my fiance.so i will have a total of 140w of ufo leds pumping my plants up.i do have two compact floros 65wers that put out 300w or some shit like that,but i honestly ddont feel a needd for them i think my girls will be just fine.i may not get tree trunk buds but i will atleast get some dank ass pine cones.

seriously, 1 of the most intelegent responces ive got on here in a while, and yea it is ALOT about the brand and type with any LED lighting system. i use hps, that led seems weird, hahaha livin in the 90s, hahaaa i wanted to get 1 of thosew to veg with, or mayb just set under the plants pointing up! but who knos u might hav just convinced me....

thanks man i do try to make sure i am informed before i use any product in my grow room.yeah it is the 90s leds seem like something out of a sci-fi movie lol.i used hps up until i got my ufo.once mine came in and i saw what it can do i promptly sold the hps to my brother in law.if you go with the ufo i own you will be very happy.as im sure you can imagine,the Chinese models are shit,they work but like i had said my ufos output is like that of a 110w Chinese tri band.atleast according to my specs.dont be so skeptical of the ufos man they are for much more than sidelighting,or starting seeds in veg.if you do get one go for the link i posted and check mine out theyre on ebay

I have six 90w ufos i use 2 to veg a 10l 5w 6h in feet and the other 4 to flower a second tent same size they work real nice the growth in veg is crazy like 60 cm a week no stretch

yeah i get great results from my 90w i cant imagine 4 90w ufos all in one tent,are you getting giant nugs or are they normal led buds(meaning led buds tend to be fluffier and less dense,same over all potency compared to a hid grow but because the lights only penetrte so far a lot of the lower nugs are loose)i personally like flufft buds because they seem to last longer lol and the bags look like double what they are .do you have any pics of your last led grow with the 4 ufos in the flowering tent?how much would you say yur average yield is?

i do have pics but i wont post as im heaty as fuck lol but no not airy at all big nugs yes but not as big as hid but more of them if that makes sense i use two straight down for top lighting and 2 at an angel to help with lower pen my best was 3.2 ounces off one plant it was big and lsted almost across entire room lol smalled was .9 of an ounce so u average it out if u want i did 10 plants and all but one was over an ounce the strain was blzbud from seedism i do belive edit : i find quality to be better than hid as not as much of the thc degrades from light during the day

cool thats what i was hoping to hear.ive heard led buds are more potent too.my ufo actually has uv light diodes in some of the bulbs.this is know to stress the marijuana plant causing it to produce more thc to protect the buds and leaves.some of my leaves are already showing crystal on some of my babies.god damn almost 4 oz off of 1 plant oh my god i didnt think you could manage that with led.an oz per plant until now i thought was a little far fetched but that is exactly what i wanted to yeild was 1 per.that will leave me with enough smoke until i can harvest more,and a little to display to friends so that i can improve on my grow for next time.what strains do you find do well with led?im going northern lights,afgani,cycber crystal,la confidential and the babies are mango(which i just removed 3 males from the seedling area.now i have 7 mangos and boy am i hoping theyre all female.that would make up for losing so many of my older plants to a high male ratio.oh well im hoping for the best.keep watching man ill be putting more pics up soon and doing a recap of problems i faced with this grow.if any one hs any questions or comments please feel free

+rep for using led embrace the future .. but there is a new light im looking into right now as well supose to last longer than led but not as good on power a 400w is supose to be lumen = to a 1000+watts im intrested they are magnetic something discharge or a nother i dunno just starting checking them out though seem really better than anything

its a great idea man.im using just led though.i dont really have the need for hid lamps.they cause to many heat issues and cost way too much to use.im not knocking you i used a 400w hps until i got into the led.this is a link to my light,as you will see these lights are good from seed to buds,and a 90w ufo puts out almost the same amount of lumens as a 400w hid lamp.plus they use very little power.you could run 2 90w ufos or 1 120w and get just as good of harvest as you do with your 600w without the heat and electric issues.then your plants would be receiving the exact spectrum that they do outside only in a contained area,read the specs on the page you will be impresses.ive become friends with the gotham products rep too and i can tell you this info is 100% fact.do the research your self if youre still skeptical.http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-QUAD-Hydroponic-UV-UFO-LED-Grow-light-400w-HPS-NR_W0QQitemZ270491590192QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item3efa8e1e30

there is also a new plasma diode coming out do a search for plasma light on google or youtube nd you will see what im talking about.1 diode lights up like a street light (hps) all mjor citys will be switching to this technology in the up coming years and just like when the leds came out people will be unsure of them until they make their way into a grow room.the rest will be history lol
