No, it's not like cooties.
Seriously, you're killing your plants. Only advice I can give is don't let it happen by any means again. Get some heavy duty fans, buckets filled with ice, whatever it takes. If it comes down to it, you can buy a 5000 btu a/c unit for around $100 online that should sort you out pretty quick.

I have to think they're salvageable at this point. But I'd imagine they're getting pretty fed up at the poor environment, and if things don't change, they're going to let you know, one way or another...

I'm sorry, but I think this heat think might be a crock. I've been researching the proper temp for a growing room, and there is a consensus in that you should not exceed 88-90 deg. However, I'm not sure the jury is in on this temp debate. My plants seem to thrive at 93 deg as much as 85 deg. And I've read in some other posts by other growers who claim they had no problems with heat in the 90's. If 90+deg heat kills plants, then how come cannabis thrives in hot climates like Jamaica or Afghanistan?

I've also read a post on another board by a grower who seemed to do some research on the subject, and he found that laboratory tests showed that cannabis thrives around 95 deg. But considering heat causes other issues like pests and humidity, lower temps are recommended for indoor grows. Or so the theory goes...

I would like some hardened proof of MJ plants that die due to 90+deg ambient heat. I'm not talking about someone with an old story. I want pictures and a journal, so it is actually proven without a doubt as being the cause. I have yet to see an case where a plant dies or degenerates because of 90+deg heat.

Please correct me if I am 100% wrong about this.

Ive once known a man to ride the line at 90* if the lights are up a little higher and you at 90* I wouldnt exactly freak but I have had clones straight die at 90* though so just be careful and watch it... they also say w/ co2 temp levels should rise up to 85-89* You got a point weed thrives in nor cal and it gets hot as fuck. I think its the breeze that keeps them alive in the high heat..

i actually have to support kubrick on this. i have visited several times my friend in arizona who grows his own stuff outside and temperatures there reach well above 100 degrees on a daily basis and they seem to have no problem at all growing outdoors.

actually in veg aslong as u got a high rh factor...ive found low 90's to have some serious growth...i think with the tropical varieties its all bout the fresh air being there with the excessive tropical heat..in a closed environment thats why temps can go much higher with co2..but i think even without co2 aslong as u maintain fresh air is ur friend principle if u hit a few 90s i doubt youll ruin anything in veg..i tend to want optimal conditions in bud tho..plus bugs dont thrive in the lower temps and u can get that pretendo purple form low 50's..and at the end of bud..the lower i can get the night temps i feel the better because im tryn to simulate the fall type weather..i usally wait till i c a little wilting be4 watering late in flower, tryn to let them know theyre on there way out..in addition to kicking the fuck out of my potters ..to stress them in2 bigger blooms..just something new im tryn...

I agree 100% and have thought about this for quite some time.

Plants grown outside like Mexico California, and other hot climate do well.

My temps average around 90 and my plants are doing very well.

I will say this, make sure they are watered properly and that they get god ventilation.

You will be fine.

for clones and smal plants you cant go over 85 cause their root system cannot take up the necessary water for temperatures greter then that. Saying that a well established 3 foot plant in bloom with healthy root system can thrive at 90 specially if grown indoors where co2 ppm levels reach 600 to 800 naturally when a few 1000w lights are on. I think that if you start your day at 80f and reach peaks of low 90s the plants will have no problem thriving, but if they are young wilting might occur only because of the root system. Saying this dont put any plants closer then 16 inches from light source as you will burn unless running an air cooled hood.
