9ft lady again!!! Help!

Okay so I'm getting brown hairs on my plant but the crystals are still clear as hell what is going on here?

your plant is most likely matureing.... got any pix?

ooo wow... this plant is what looks like a 100% sativa!!!! looks like your nowere enar end!!!!! looks like she may go to like january... also looks like she isnt getting enough light.... and are you only giving her 12 hours of light and 12 hours of total darkness? do you maybe have a light leak? also get some new pix up of your plants so we can see wtf is going on to better help u

just the strain probably, hairs arent an indicator of harvest time. i have had hairs brown half way through flower

I'm sorry to say man but that is what you get with a mexican seed in a window with a shade over it. Its a good effort and the plant is healthy but its not going to give you much in the way of flowers.

those sativa pistils come in never ending waves... some will pop up, then will brown.... and new ones will com on back white

So I'm good for now? I should go get another 400w hps? for more light? let me know guys I need this thing out of my closet with at least something coming off of it.

Oh and its hard to get pictures its hard to move that thing alone.

I'd say you definitely have a sativa there I'd say give her until Thanksgiving at least. As for using another 400w, I'd say why not if you can allocate the space for it, I'd probably have it hanging about half-way down the plant to get the light to the lower branches. Watch your heat levels.

Also, some growers use a 11/13 light schedule to force sativas to finish a little earlier.

I'm hoping you will stick with this plant and not take her down too early. I have a bagseed sativa that went from 18 inches to 6 feet during the beginning of flowering. I'm keeping it rootbound as I have no more headroom lol (yeah, I know - noobs - lol.)

She's now starting to pack on some resinous flowers, and the main cola is getting thicker everyday. She smells really good, can't wait to try her out in a couple months lol

It's a learning exercise, and if we can grow these to the end, those indicas will be a breeze haha

If you can exhaust the heat, why not just get a 600w or 1000w HPS and use the 400w for the other room? Just a thought, reasoning that if you have another room to use you could start a perpetual grow (one room for veg - the other for flowering) and the cost difference isn't all that much. In any case, grow on!

9 feet? where?

it seems i have a sativa as well... i was wondering about my odd plant... i planted all mine in the same conditions, same light, i just used a hodge-podge of great seeds from some cheap ass bagweed. i have a bunch of variety growing. its interesting to see the different characteristics of each of them.
some are getting clipped now... they smell awesome too.
good luck with that big girl of yours! i actually topped mine while its been budding with no noticble stressing. they do grow extra tops after a bit.

in a 1000 watt hps enough to cover 9 feet with out any other support from another light?

How large is the room you have it now? I would off the top of my head say that it will..

I highly recommend a 600watt HPS over a 1000watt HPS....you will get denser nugs and the heat is so much less of a problem with a 600 watt. I personally have a 600 watt hps cooltube and it ROCKS....keeps my tent a percet 74 degrees. But if you do this make sure you exhaust it correctly. I have a 440 CFM exhaust fan attatched to my set up and it works wonders. PERFECT ATMOSPHER...so good luck and def spend the money that you can now, it will totally be worth it in the end!

they could have gone brown because of pollen getting to them ive heard that they change color when pollenated

i thought i had a problem...i have a Skunk that is still in flower. she was about 5ft when i started and quickly went to like 7, maybe 8, who knows, i have tied the tops down, the buds are massive and im easily going to get 2-3oz. off her. but she is a late finisher for sure. you better pray she don't stretch any more, or your screwed!! i don't even see how you have 9ft ceilings indoor. i think my ceilings go to 8ft. but that is still a huge plant. if i were you and you need a light, get at least a 600w, if not 1000w! for a plant that tall you are going to also need some cfls for the lower branches. i would just get the sockets on the power cords and get one for each side, bout 4, and hang them til the light hits the bottom branches, with the 600w above for the top and main branches. and if you get to harvest before Thanksgiving i will be surprised. Sativas can take up to 12 weeks, some take 13!! Mexi bag seeds are the worst to grow, no matter how good the smoke was. good luck my friend.
