9th week flower NOT MANY TRICHS????

I'm in my 9th week of flower and there isnt as many trichs as id like 2 see....ive looked at tons of pics of dif peoples grows and i would think by this point my girls should be full of them at this stage...ive had reds hairs for quite some time now.....im sure dif strains produce more/less trichs but 2 me id would have thought like said they should be full of em at this point. Its some really really good bag seed and buds are nice size so this is my only concern......ANY HELP OR ADVICE??

I'm in the same boat with the a greenhouse seeds white widow, I think it's just bad genetics. I have it next to a bunch of different strains which all have very good trich production.

Id rather have the Sativa energy/awake head buzz then the Indica couch lock body buzz so i dont wanna wait 2 long causing high CBN......but then of course not to early......... wanna get the best "HIGH"...LOL

Could be:

1. Environmental- too hot or too cold, too humid or too low, medium too moist or dry, fertilizer deficiencies or toxicity, bugs, mold- you get the picture

2. Genetics- poor breeding or low resin strain. Many people grow 3-5 packs of seeds just to find 1 pheno worth keepi

3. Light quality- wrong type (or color), old bulb (not enough lumens), bulb too far away from plants, etc.

4. Strain specifics- preferences within the strain i.e. they prefer higher or lower pH, indoor vs. outdoor, old and/or tired seeds, etc.


These are just some issues that could negatively impact resin production, there are numerous others things too. Who was the breeder and what was the strain?

i have not idea what strain or breeder.....was jus some really good smoke and saved the seed...i have 2 plants but dif strains...i can def tell a dif...im thinkin the one that hasnt produced many yet is more sativa strain anyways if is then takes longer as u may already no...my temps stay in the 70's. In a walk in closet with fan t5's and cfls so the light is fine (always could use more tho..lol) id like to get the temps down in the low 60's maybe 50s on the off cycle is this ok? if so any suggestions? much appreciated

bad genetics no mtter how perfect you grow them you cant make a pig with lipstick miss america get proven seeds from a reputable source nothing like wasting electric ie:money on junk it will make you disappointed in so many ways

It's usually recommended not letting the night time temps drop more than 10 degrees over light on temps.....

Maybe it's a 14 week strain and resin will "pop" later........ but as stated, I'm guessing it strain specific. Remember, quality of high is not based totally on amounts of resin. Some great smoke can be had with on 10% THC.

I assume both seeds were from the same bag? They could have hermied and self pollinated, or picked it up from a rogue male somewhere. Some strains are really strong and don't have many trichs. Quality could be worse, equal or better than the bud you got it from--Just have to wait and see.
