Ok so after looking at everybody's set up i think ive finally gotten mine down, im working with a 8.5' by 4.5' (8' tall) closet, the pictures are of it now, when i had the 4 plants that turned out being males, now i ordered a bunch of seeds and plan on having 18 plants if space allows it, i can put 3 across and 6 down with enough room to work on them when i have to, i have 2 600w HPS lights that will be used.
for ventilation, theres already a vent in it, i want to go up in the attic, put a Y on it and make another vent on the other side of the closet to circulate the air a bit better, on the bottom left side of the closet i want to cut and put an "exhaust" fan pulling air out on 15 minute cycles, or ill just tweak it once i have temps and whatnot but it will pull out to where that random picture was taken that has the paint can and shit. thats the other side ofcloset wall.
for watering, im gonna make a 6" stand/table of some sort to put the 5 gal pots on, with holes at the bottom of course, and when theres run off its going to go through the stand onto a large plastic tray at an angle for water to fall towards the front of the closet, the tray will then meet a big ass (maybe 8"?) cut pvc pipe going the width of the stand, inside the pipe will be a hose connected to the water pump from my clone machine, it will suck the run off out and push into some kind of reservoir to get dumped.
ill have at least 4 or 5 oscillating fans running in there probably mounted high for space, above the exhaust fan ill mount the ballasts, temp, ppm, ph devices, etc.
ANY and i mean ANY advice, criticism, smart ass comments will be appreciated.

If it matters at all, im going to be growing-

THC Bomb
LSD
Great White Shark
Pineapple Express
Afghan Kush
and maybe ill mix in the free love potion and sensi star theyre sending,
its from herbies and its on its way! yay lol

I have no experience or knowledge with those, is it something worth looking into? I plan on flipping once they reach 2.5ft.
Thanks for the input,

Get a good 6" high velocity inline fan and a speed contorller. Youll need it to cool the two 600w lamps. Get air cooled hoods as well.

You can run a carbon filter > hood1 > hood2 > exhaust. You will need a carbon filter.

Lose the 4 osc fans. Keep one.

Exhaust from the top of the room, intake from the bottom opposite side. Intake doesnt need a fan, just make the vent twice the size as the exhaust.

I wouldnt exhaust hot, humid air directly into my attic. At least run some ducting to your ridge vent. Not sure what the Y adapter is for?

Mount ballasts outside the room. They get warm and can raise temps and just get in the way.

Watering 5 gallon buckets in a long, narrow room is going to be a nightmare. Consider halving the room and using one 600w. Youll end up with a 4x4 square which is much easier to manage.

You will find that you run out of room very quickly and youll be getting rid of all those awesome ideas you had in favor of simple and minimal. Trust me.

5gal is a bit overkill. You might consider 3 gallon pots. Sit the pots on wire shelving and use a large rubbermaid tray for catching runoff. You can suck it up with a wet/dry vac when youre done watering. Dont make it more complicated than it has to be.

Think about how you will be able to tend to plants when they are late in flowering and big. Dont put any outlets, switches, etc in a place that is hard to get to. The plants will fill the room during flowering. IT will not be fun to take them all out because you have to move a plug or something.

Get your exhaust in order. Get a good, high velocity fan. At least 6", or whatever the flanges on your hoods are. Run solid ducting and elbows where possible. Avoid awkward runs and turns with flex duct. Cut your holes with the proper tool. Make them neat and clean. Use foil tape and duct clamps. Really. Dont skimp on the exhaust system. Really.

Lay everything out and see if you can move around. Imagine the room filled with plants.

Lay it out again.

Simple.

Clean.

Only what you NEED in there.
