A black guy I thought was racist comes by...

There's this black dude down the hall here in the dorms and he straight up does not hang out with but one white guy. His roommate is also black but if you were blind you'd think he was white. This other guy, S, the one I'm talking about is straight thug, he's a football player here. He's built as fuck, and doesn't say a lot of 'white guy' stuff. I was walking down the hallway and he said what's up and we started a conversation. Eventually I invited him over for a few shots, and we watched the KU game. He turns out to be pretty chill. Though I do feel that I'll never fully be in his circle unless I wake up black one day. So he's still slightly racist in my mind, but not anything horrible, he's pretty cool.

Also, he says he smokes when football season is done, so I'll have another buddy.

I also thought about how I'm racist. Really, not badly, I don't hate anyone, but whenever I walk into class, I try to sit next to the black guys, as there's a smaller likelihood of them being the Hollister-wearing, one-brain-cell-having frat boys with lots of money. I believe I prefer the company of black people, but I can't really tell why. Also I have observed that more percentage of black guys who smoke weed know what they're doing and the white kids who say they get stoned come by and are far from chill. The black guys speak realistically about weed, and the white kids talk about how dank their shit is and how it is better than whatever you got, blah blah blah...

I'm guessing you were raised by a single mother and lived among those with less money?--which often entails living among the black crowd? I dunno.......I'll just say, I'm not exactly rich and my white son basically has nothing BUT black friends. LOL, he asked me one day, "Ever noticed that I don't have any white friends?" I sidetracked in answering, because I had noticed.
On a good note, he'll never be racist, on the bad note, he'd better never try to bring that rap "music" into my home.

haha well i personally do have a fairly even mixture of white and black friends and enjoy alot of rap. (im a dirty south mofu**a) so im not too sure why you feel that your reverse racist. i understand what you mean about the white kids trying to act as if they are the ultimate stoner and all that mess. especially in the college atmosphere. but here in the south i honestly find that it all depends on the personality of that one individual. i know the black (white) guy and the white guy that is blacker (only by stereotype) than any true african. all im saying is i really dont see a skin color as effecting someones personality. its all based on the environment a person is raised in and the attitude that they retain from it

"Or" another scenario would be that you were raised like me.....in an upper middle class white neighborhood, with nothing BUT white kids...who are spoiled brats who value little. You found yourself hanging out with the rich kids, only to find them shallow as hell......and the black kids (who typically grew up middle class at best) put value on the things you are more in tune with, simply due to your personality.
Personally, I get along with any given race...given the right opportunity.
I was much more down to earth in high school than the next and found all the poorer kids more to my liking.

Neither really... I think everyone's racist, they just don't know it. You don't have to be running around calling every black guy nigger and every white guy cracker, there's racist subtleties. I'm definitely sexist I guess. When I look for a mate it's not equal opportunity, only females accepted. But if I'm looking for friends, all race age and sex is accepted.

Oh yeah, in response to you up there. I thought he was racist, turns out he's not. That's the story of the thread.

He's racist for shunning the company of white people. Segregation comes to mind.

It is a marijuana forum. But this section is called "Toke N Talk" and you can basically talk about whatever you feel like talking about..

ive had white friends that hatted whites ive always found this odd

I'd say some people took it the wrong way. I'll have a blast hanging out with some white dudes, probably closer to more white guys than black guys. It's hard to tell when you're looking at a white guy if they are cool or not, white people are deceiving bitches. In my experience [not calling a stereotype] most of the black guys I've met are straightforward and honest.

But if I'm in a room of people I don't know, I'm going to wander over and talk to the black guys, as there's a smaller likelihood of them being 'fags', 'assholes', or 'dumbasses'.

I'm mixed race and live in South Africa,I have racist white friends and racist black friends

anyway my point is that most people who are open minded find themselves being racist towards they own race. People need to be individuals and not live within stereotypes to have a sense of identity.
