a complete list of everything needed????

is there a list of everything needed to kit out a grow room, preferably that lists essentials and non essentials or is there just to many variables and you need to design around what your needs are?

1st thing is to ask yourself. What's my budget

well i have money, dont want to blow a fortune but seems pointless buying crap then having to replace after a few grows. just trying to get a grasp of what people reccomend was think a tent 600w light, fan etc

solistek matrix ballast so you can run whatever wattage mh or hps you want. you'll save 20 bux on a timer since the ballast has an internal one , although you'll throw that 20 bux you saved on the optional remote control but the solistek matrix is solid.
If you have the money hortilux lamps are about the best there is. I USED to run nothing but hortilux but found myself a little tapped today and actually bought a 600 watt ultrasun hps. fans are just details you'll have to do the math and decide what you need. You didn't even hit on what style of growing which will determine just what your finshaggy shopping list will contain. From what I've seen it tends to be an endless list :/

$1000 budget for a personal grow room.... fan ,filter ,light, circulation fan, veg cabinet, veg lights and fans reflective insulation, building supplies... really its about what you want to do. is this a permanent room in your house how big is it what's your yield goal I get 3-5 oz every 60 days in a 2.5x2.5 room with a small kitchen base cabinet in the corner for veg and a 400w light... what are you trying to do???? where is the grow??? basement closet where???? what do you want out of it

I was hoping for a list of components so i can then go out and research on the forum what would be the best setup for me, went into a shop but they wer just listing endless amounts of products which i had no idea if they wer good quality or not,

then i heared some advice on some electrical components that they wer selling to someone which was complete bollocks which put me right of buying from them p.s im a sparky lol

thanks for the reply tusseltussel, yes its a permenant room thats massive (spare bedroom), thats why im thinking of a tent thats 1.2m x 1.2m x 2m. Its my first ever grow so first goal is just to complete and learn from my mistakes, not set any oz that i which to achieve but on the second grow will hope to improve till i get 3-5 oz like you.

If you are planning on doing a 600W light do a dual ballast (HPS/MH), Grow Tent Max size 4x4, extractor fan really can be anything just need to get the air out you want the temps to be between 72 and 82 generally temperature on my system (also a 600W HPS) is generally around about 8 degrees higher than what I have the AC set at carbon filter is easy if you are growing in a room that generally people dont enter get a few of these I think this is what I got: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Replacement-Carbon-Filter-for-Harmony-Air-Purifiers/24082484 I have it in all the air vents in the house and cannot smell the weed anywhere in my house unless the door is open right after watering.

I dont have experience with DWC so cant really say anything on that but Soil is really easy to use, currently running with Miracle Gro Moisture Control Potting mix and have not had any problems or any of the complaints I have seen about it, but of course if you are in an area where there is stores other than walmart then go for the better soil but honestly this Miracle Gro gets the Job done.

2 fans one for the light .... one for the filter....... youre gonna want an air cooled hood for a 6oo in a tent

I would buy a magnetic ballast........ theyre cheaper last longer and dont draw a whole lot more power than the digitals....... i dunno y anybody would need a dimmable ballast either ..... more light ..not less

Can't agree on the miracle grow at all . I'm on a grow now experimenting with a promix I got from a hydro store / promix outdoors that I got
On sale at Canadian tire and miracle grow .
I can honestly say that promix is the clear winner of easy to use and a favourite for the plants . The outdoors stuff was supper cheap and got the job done. Miracle grow almost
Made me loose 2 plants now . Done with it!
Promix all the way!
Or your own "diy"version of it could do fine. do the research ! Helps me when I'm stumped on a problem is sit down and read these fourms/grow journals
