I germed these guys exactly 2 weeks ago now and figured I'd write one of these up since they are doing so well.
Started with 4 Blue Mystic fem auto's, pulled one a couple days ago since it was a runt but the rest are doing great. I just started germing another seed to replace the one I yanked so I don't have an empty pot taking up space in there.
Havent had any big problems at all yet really. I got kinda scared at first because I found a bunch of super tiny bugs crawling around in the soil, but they don't seem to care to much for the plants, they aren't climbing up them or anything, just walking around in the dirt so I guess they aren't too bad. I have had a couple mushrooms sprout up in the dark period too but again, dont seem to be bothering the plants and I just yank them every day. Average temps have been abut 80-85 in there and the plants seem to be plenty happy with that.
They are growing 18/6 under a mix of CFL's, some hanging, some on lamps tilted toward the plant on the floor. I have 10 6500K 26w ones and 2 2700k 29w ones and 2 32w t8 tubes a couple feet above the plants. They seem to be getting plenty of light and i'm surprised how fast they are taking off for only being 2 weeks old. Two of them are doing from what I've seen in other grows maybe average or a bit better but one is doing amazing, I moved the lights over from the yanked plant to see if I can get it to do even better with the extra light.
Just fed them their first nutes the other day, 30-10-10's at 1/4 strength and i've been watering them every 4-5 days with PH adjusted tap water left to stand for a few days to evaporate the chlorine out. I think i'm gonna fert them every other watering and might try and increase the dosage a hair.
Well if anyone has any comments suggestions don't be afraid to post up. I just have one question if anyone has any input, I yield is super hard to tell but i'm honestly just looking for a ballpark figure to expect from these plants once its all said and done. Anyone have any idea, I'm shooting for 5-6 oz's, is that about realistic? If these turn out well I want to try growing some regular, non auto plants next.
