a cry for help.........

i have scoured through journals and have been reading information on here for the last 2 months..I have so much respect for you guys that's doing it...
I am a first time grower and this is what I have - 2 a.o. smith bath exhaust fans(which I have a pic of doesn't show cfm's) 2 4ft t12 2 bulb fluorescents,
pvc pipes, a tall cabinet and 8 sockets for cfl's. I want this cab to be my veg cabinet( I have a basic design of it by the bath fan)

I also have flora series 3 part ph up and down,for flowering a 1000w hps, i have built my carbon scrubber( haven't put the carbon in yet) I figured I can build the rest of my flower cab as I veg

My first question is are the fluorescents strong enough to produce a good foundation for my plants to be flowered?

My second question- is the design for my veg cab effective?

3rd question....even thou it doesn't show the cfm's ...anybody think that this fan is powerful enough to exhaust fluorescents

I have 300 dollars to spend and i want my veg cab to be as perfect as possible also if u see a way i can also purchase some things for flowering please let me know.....( i already know 40.00 is going to a tdc pen)

How big is your flowering area? 1000w might be too much. Personally I would use a 400w for veg if you are going to flower under a 1000w.

my flowering area will be either 4x4 of 4.5x4.5

jesus thats strong... maybe 400 watts for less energy consumption

thanks alot...but the 1000w is the only light i have for flowering ...i'm really not worried about the power consumption because of my reading i will be sure not to overload the circuit.

I have 400w hps bulbs and 150whps bulbs just not the ballast for them......
been trying to find cheap ballast I can get for the bulbs just figured i will use what i have for now

floro's and cfls will work perfect for veging , keep them close so your plants dont streach and bam you got bushy plants that will explode when you throw them into flowering. i looked at the design for a second and it looks good at first glance. if you have any more specific questions ill try to answer the best i can

also floro's dont get that hot as long as your cycling the air(atleast once every 1-3 mins) you should be fine... 2 computer fans would do the job well..any other fan(inline) should be good enough if not overkill

also mabe just leave the clones and the mothers in the same chamber and give yourself more height... plus only have to regulate 1 enviornment

thank u so much oshit.....I was thinking about putting them both in the same chamber as well just seen so many people who have them seperate.....plus I was trying to utilize these two 4ft t12's. but if yall think i shoud have another light I seen what i think is a good deal on e bay for a 2ft 4 bulb t5 that also includes a bubbler system with a pump,nutes hydrotun pebbles ph strips and rockwool cubes for 129.00 just to get the light.

another question i have just to touch on what the blunted1 wrote is it true the stronger the flowering light the stronger your veg light should be.....

veg lights dont have to be strong. small plants dont take up alot of light and clones will only be there untill they root/grow alittle, and you dont want a huge amount of light on your mothers or they will get huge between trimmings(unless you take alot of clones)
how many mothers/clones do you plan on having( at 1 time?)

i dont think you need more light... but if you want more light can never hurt...unless the cops see your power bill

well i plan on having to start with 3 plants ....the strain i'm going with is arjan's haze #3 a short sativa......starting with5 feminised seeds.....only going to plant 3 and save the other 2 just incase something dosen't work.....if those 3 sprout i will take clones from all 3 i figure 4.5x4.5 equals around 20 square ft. so i plan on grabbing 20 clones if that woks out i will flower 20 plants. i know the floro's is a slower growth rate than hids so as u suggested and i was thinking that the floros would be enough for mothers and clones....i also figured that i will top the mothers....thanks for letting me know that the mothers don't need that much light cause i don't want them to grow fast ....especially growing my mothers in a hydro set-up

another question i have ....since u said that the clones will only really be there until they root should i divide that space into a veg and mother/clone area

well so your gonna take the 3 plants. grow them normally till about 2-3 ft.? then chop them up into 20 clones. let them root ( in veg box ) let them grow untill a few inches then throw then into the hps(flower room but 18/6) till they get however big you want them. then switch to flower. woll the 3 mothers are in the veg room( for another month after you flower) keep them trimmed and let them get bushy so there ready to give you more clones, then take clones and let the clones grow for another month(woll your first batch finish's flowering) then you can throw the clones(a good size now) right into flowering 12/12 as soon as you harvest first batch( then take more clones) and repeat.

i would just leave it one big area... keep all the mothers lined up at the left and take the clones stick them in the middle/right and let them grow were they are. you only need 1 batch of clones at a time so all will be same size

with your 1000 watt light you will need to do something about the heat. How will you address that?

don't be a bogart to ur bitches they love food feed them the light. All you who think that fancy lights or new age air scrubbers are the way to go then your wrong the light is where it 's at feed them.

that is why the 1000w light was my first purchase....though it draws power so forth it bringeth power to the buds........
