Which emphasizes the initial question - I have the choice to grow my hair long or short, wear black clothes or white clothes, or drive a car or ride a motorcycle... for someone to say "stop doing that" to any of my choices would be retarded, because they're my choices to make, right? So even if sexuality was a choice, why do homophobes think that would justify their position of open discrimination?

No response? why is it if i say i think its wrong for a gay man to have a sex change and represent himself as a woman everyone rushes to his defence but when i mention how i would like to know if it is possible to retain your sex organs and have a vagina put elsewhere on your body- stomach seeming logical- no ones supporting me...maybe it would make me happy maybe their are other straight men who would like a vagina but are afraid to say so for fear of discrimination....i say come out my brothers now is our time

Ok first off im not going to lie, a vagina on your stomach inst very logical. I'm all for being whatever you want how ever I do believe it is a matter of choice and genetics. Also I think some people honestly feel that way and some are just perverted into being into it. As men tend to be more promiscuous. I'm not hating on gays I or lesbians I have a few friends who are. These are just my opinions. But usually if a child has a traumatic incident especially sexual, they will reenact it.

The reasons people get sex changes and other similar kinds of procedures are unique to each person and I would think analyzing the thought process would be analogous to someone about to commit suicide - in that you would have to be in that position to fully understand it. Until you're personally in that position, in that frame of mind, you aren't capable of understanding it, so I don't think it's reasonable for people to remark about someone else's decision to go through with such a procedure, and that's still disregarding the other entire issue of personal responsibility with ones own body.
What do you not have the right to say anymore because of legislation that's been enacted? I'd love to hear some examples.

OK, I understand that, but this is the point - why does it matter if you think it's right or not? Why does anyone's, other than ones self, sexual orientation matter to anyone else? What justification is there to think that a person has the right to dictate what somebody else can or can't do with themselves in any aspect of choice? Are these people not against freedom of choice? Isn't it reasonable to assume these people, I'd venture to say the majority, already feel like something they're not, by conforming to what they think society wants them to be? Isn't it a major step still these days to "come out of the closet" so to speak? UpNorth, shed some light? As a straight male in American society, looking around where I live, most homosexual people are pretty much accepted, it's rare to see open discrimination like we see on these boards. It's just something that doesn't matter, you know what I mean? Just like I said, a persons hair, the clothes they wear or the car they drive... Isn't that the way it should be? How could someone possibly argue that our society would be worse off by the majority of the population conforming to this kind of attitude?

But this thread takes it farther... even if it WAS only a choice, why the fuck should it matter to anyone else? What, homophobes think they can dictate other peoples choices now?

I could careless whether or not they are pre-determined homosexual or they made a choice or a combo of those two or whether or not aliens came out of the clouds and individually sprinkled each one with distant space pixie dust that makes the human species queer as a 3 dollar bill. More woman for me - unless they turn gay too

i had the same theory and its doesnt really work that was because the women turn homo sexual to and women are also really into gay guys...? weird. i also worry about spread of disease in places where you have lots of gays drugs bisexual men and women and lots of transvestite prostitutes...got to think about whats being passed around...in my neighborhood theirs huge bill bords everywhere about free HIV testing....its enough to slow me down im trying to find one woman and settle down....its not like youll find a bunch of women who cant get laid because of all the gay men...but in a place with lots of gays you will also find a lot of promiscuous women.OK - where I stand... i booted them and they came back. one was a big bald dude with a goatee in a leather vest, no shirt. he was firing up a fat cigar, getting settled in for something. i left for a minute. when i came back nasty things were happening on a different camera. i had 8 or 9 people in my room at the time.
