A Few Newbie odd questions no doubt?

Okay to start with I have read up on different things from this great site, please bare with my typing and try not to confuse me anymore than I already am... Im trying to find out what will work best with my current gear.

1. How Long should it take for seeds to sprout after I have planted them in soil, Im currently using "GROWLUSH FLURO ENERGY SAVER LAMP 14,000K 130W this light has more Blue" & GROWLUSH FLURO ENERGY SAVER LAMP 25,000K 130W this light has more Purple.

2. Also Should I have these Fluro Lights vertical or horizontal over my cups?

3. Also does the having 2 Fluro lights being of 2 different colour spectrum's ie 1 Fluro BLue Light & 1 Fluro Purple Light weaken the strenght of each of the lights, should I just be using the Blue Fluro?

4. In my under-construction Veg room I have currently just 1 600watt MH Light, would it be more beneficial to have the new seeds that havent sprouted yet in this veg room, the size of the room is 1.8 metres x 2.4 meters x height 1.8 metres, the 600watt light is up pretty high, would it be too much to have the seeds like far away from the light, or should I just keep them under the Fluros?

5. Also Im about to attempt to take some clones from the tall adult plant, could I keep these clones in a humidity dome, in 1 of the far corners of my Veg room, or will the 600watt light have too much light for them, they would be roughly about 1.8 metres from the light?

Also you may be wondering why I have 1 tall plant and 1 small plant, WELL my 2 year old boy decided 1 day he would play with my plants, ie ripping them out of the soil and then leaving the on the ground for about 1 hour, when they were about an inch tall, you could have imagined the look on my face when I found them laying on the floor :roll:.....

ok, here goes;
1. seeds should sprout in 3-4 days after planting. You don't need the light though, not until after they've sprouted, just make sure the growing medium is able to stay moist.

2. horizontal, unless you can somehow arrange your plants vertically so a vertical setup would make sense.

3. No, but you need to make sure that both fluoro's are in a correct and useable spectrum. I don't think that marijuana uses much purple. 25,000k, that's insane. The fluoro's I use are 6500k I think.

4. a 600 watt is overkill for just sprouted seeds. You could use it, buy the fluoro's will be just fine for the first week or two. But on the other hand, if you can manage the heat and not fry your plants, I think they would like being under the MH better if you're currently not using it anyways.

5. I think clones would be okay at that distance, but this is the one question i'm not certain of as I have not yet dealt with clones.
