A few Noob Q's about amount of plants in Tent

Hey super awesome grower guys (and gals),

I have a Agromax Window Grow Tent - Size XL (98 x 54 x 78) and 2 1000w lights with cool tubes and a 400cfm 6" venting system. Starting my first hydro grow and doing DWC in 5 gallon buckets with 6" nets. I was planning on doing 12 buckets but now that I have it all set up it looks like I could fit 18. Would 18 to many for the lights or tent size? Also with a 6" intake and a 6" outtake with the same length tubeing on either side my tent seems to be a vacuum a bit above 300 cfm. Should I just open more of the 4" vents or is it ok?

Thanks in advance.

I had about twelve 5 gal buckets with 6" nets and hydroton with a huge air pump and I was growing white widow...I was always fighting with root rot... so I said fuck dwc after the harvest and went back to dirt until I finish building my aeroponic setup.. IMO fill those 5 gal buckets with miracle grow moisture control and save yourself the hassle of dwc.. Atleast do one 5 gal bucket with dirt and put it in with all the rest and you will find out first hand how easy the dirt is compared to babysitting all the dwc buckets... Either way goodluck :bigjoint: oh and I was using chemical ferts and no organic stuff at all.. what kinds ferts did you have in mind?

If you get a tight grow you can rotate your plants every 3-4 days. Move this one here and there. It there tight moving them around let's the plant get light where it wasn't before.

Opening window will work. Low intake high exhaust. Get heat from top out and cold air comes in. How do you plan on fitting 2 1000's in there?

Cobra, done dirt, it's hydro time. I'm using PH perfect, grow, micro and bloom.

Top, thanks are you saying 18 should be ok as long as I rotate? the buckets will have about 6" between them with 18.

Thanks Herb, I have the tent all setup up with 12 and my seeds germinating right now. The 2 lights are strung in line (lengthwise with the air filter off to the side (suspended) and vented out the top. My intake is on the floor and addition vents are also on floor.

It's a 8x4.5 the biggest one they have, I have it in an unfinished garage in the winter in the NW so my test temps (the buckets of water and pump and lights and fan going) I range from 70.5 at night to 78 during day. I'm hoping it warms up (outside) before I hit 12/12 but figure I'll put the night cycle on during the hottest time and heat the intake if I have to. You think I should get 6 more buckets? Whats the worst that could happen if I packed too tight.

You've got plenty of light, circulation would be a concern nothing fans couldn't fix. I use outside air for intake too and switch day/night for temps as well.

If I can do DWC anybody can. You just have to be more aware of everything. I'll never go back to dirt indoors.

SCROG them.

Hotrod, is there anything in specif you're referring too. I'm using a rockwool/ceramic pellets combo and the aeration is supposed to help prevent root rot, Is there anything else I should be extra worried about? Planning on daily PH adjustment and biweekly water change.
