A few questions...

Okay, I tried searching for the answers to these questions and couldn't find exactly what I was looking for so here they are...
Question 1) From what I gathered there is really no good way of differentiating (in the beginning) as to female/male. At what point does it become harmful to the females to have a male nearby? The reason I ask is that I have 4 seedlings about 1 1/2 to 2" tall. Should I be keeping them far apart until I know (as to gender) or does it matter?
Question 2) I have been putting the seedlings outside during the day, then moving them inside under a fluorescent light @ night. My reasoning is that I figure they grow better/more under light so better to have them under light all the time. Is my thinking correct or does it matter?
Thanks so much for any way you can assist.

1. Starts when you flower. Get rid of males asap then flower much quicker!

2. That will work. Saves elc also. Going green in 2 ways :)

1. You will have more than enough time to figure out what the sex is before the male plants parts would mature and do any damage. its real easy to tell a male and female apart.

its only dangerous to have a male around if it's ready to pollinate. from my understanding you will see the sex WAY before that happens. the balls will droop and stuff before pollen sacs open.

you definitely should not worry about it. you have PLENTY of time to determine sex before ANY danger at all is present.

Chill bro!

I can't help ya with the light question. I would only be guessing if i answered it.

Good luck!

Okay, this summer has been hotter than average with daytime temps topping out about 93/94 F. Daylight hrs in general begin 7:30ish and end 8:30ish (13 hrs). My bulb says 13W 120V 60Hz 175mA on it. I keep the bulb about 1 1/2' above seedlings and have rigged a half circle of cardboard covered in aluminum foil to surround. I keep a fan blowing lightly on them whilst inside. Oh and the temp inside this room averages 80 to 85 F (not air conditioned). BTW I can get more light on them if need be. So I guess now my question is: Is there any benefit to me going through the hassle of setting this up at night or should I just leave them outside?
