A few questions

Ok so I kind of started growing pot on accident. I planted a couple seeds in my stepmom's garden just to see if they would even grow. I didn't think they would... but in about a week it had sprouted into two identical little seedlings. So I took the two plants and put them in a small container with some of the soil from her garden and put them in my closet under a 9w hg flourescent bulb. I assume this is inadequate lighting. My questions are: is it ok to grow the two in the same pot or if not, when should I separate them? Can they be grown in a closet or even an attic? How will I know wheither they are male or female? And what type of lighting should I use? And one more question: can they be moved outside again later once they get too big for my closet (it's very tiny and I live w/ my parents who dont know about it) or should I keep them in pots until they are full grown?

well, sigh...(wishing people would read Growfaqs), here goes, yes an attic is ideal as is a closet (mine), it's your lighting and heating that matter most. stealth. I'm guessing?
Cfl's for lighting, (compact flourescents) these are the little ones that screw into incandescent fixtures.
Get a fan to constantly blow across stems to strengthen them. lets you keep light closer to plant, also.
You can't tell sex until flowering stage whether natural or 'forced'. I'll let you look up all these words if you don't know them. everything is here in the 'Growfaqs' area or in the video section.
dirt or hydro? I'm guessing you are a dirt person. potting soil NOT MIRACLE GRO anything but, trust me it sux too acidic among other things, that's about it for now, post pics when you can water every 3-4 days as seedlings... read everything on thissite that you havea question about THEN deluge us with these basic questions, you are lucky I'm ripped right now, and like to type:mrgreen:

Ps..Not to rag on you BP, But as far as i'm concerned, if you are growing at your rents house, and they dont know, or would go nuts if they found it...DONT do it.
Have some respect for them.

You could always guerilla grow elsewhere in a local field or some if the weather is gonna be frost free etc.

when weed grows it emits an odor (duh) but it's more noticeable in some strains than others. you won;'t know till it's too late in fact being so near to it, you may not ever notice it, but others will. and then there's drying! this is when odors really pop up. but to keep them in your closet till maturity. some bushes grow to 8' tall! and 4' wide! I'm sure you won't get this in a closet (one can only dream) but the variations are many. too many questioning factors to consider. if you are goig to grow, you really should do it right. but there are ways around it, by building a closet or secret;(computer cabinet, speaker box, etc...) enclosure. for those setups check out the grow room pics on this site for ideas.
