A Fool and a Hermie Seed

damn straight, better a small grow than no grow, which brings me back to the grow, such as it is
this is hands down the most sativa plant i've dealt with
it almost looks to have some thai genetics going on in there
9+ weeks of flower, i can't see it finishing much sooner than 16
and it could be longer, why did i want sativa?
they were easier years ago when you bought them in bag form

12 weeks of flower, this is as deep as i've gone with a plant
and a ways to go, very small buds
but ripening colors are showing, and doesn't look too bad
i think i've seen similar ripening in some grow log
any suggestions of course welcome

I can't even tell wtf is going on here...

it has to be female. there are no male genes to express in the offspring. reversing a female plant either chemically or by stress is how they create feminized seeds in the first place

im just going to be honest.. pop a bunch of seeds instead of 1.. lol. its not worth it to run 1 at a time.. u can waste alot of time. and end up with nothing. or a bunch of crap.. id pop at the very least.. 5-10 seeds.. and pick the bests.

the buds just arent stacking and swelling.. more light.. and put as close as u can without burning your plant

wow! lot of replies on my quiet thread everybody welcome, see if i can answer all questions
the 1 plant runs are a bit painful, security thing, i can sleep with 1 plant, things may improve in NY in near future
yeah it's a full house in there and hard to see the detail
i will relate a fix here which seems to be making an improvement
i never fed this plant for 16 weeks, other than what was in the soil
which was 6-9-0 bone meal and dolomite
i got very paranoid about feeding a sativa dom in a small chamber
wasn't good idea, light feeding doesn't mean starving it to death
16 weeks of no food has almost certainly pulled out all the potassium
just fed some potash(wood ash dissolve in water) and seeing new bud growth after a few days
wish me luck, brewing some better feed for her

13 weeks of this flowering mystery tour
well, things are better, the feeding is helping the buds
won't be the largest buds i've grown, but seeing some frost
they look good somehow, maybe a mexican look
but i imagine that in most grows

14 weeks of flower, and it could yet be a while
the feeding boost turned out to be pretty small
which matches the size of the buds, small
that's the deal with S1 seeds
you can't be sure if it's genetics or something else
best i can tell it's genetics, kind of a landrace sativa
a breeder did tell me S1 grows are a great way to inspect the parent's genetics

14 weeks and some pondering
here's the side view at 14 weeks of flower
a lot of foliage for 78 watts
it's really just starting to flower properly
god what a monster

15 weeks+ of this flowering pilgrimage
the very top bud is yellow/gold, healthy but small
maybe not a nutritional issue but genetic

time to update, kind of an endurance grow
115 days of flower, 16+ weeks of flower, hard to believe
it is filling in, a little, it just keeps baiting me
a vaped sample was more powerful than expected
like i said, she keeps baiting me

deep sigh, damn, this plant sucked so it got cut
kept thinking the buds would swell, they didn't
tiny sativa type things, genetics probably
you can never be sure with seeds like these
positive notes - never hermied and the tiny buds have quite a bit of kick
root ball looked good, PH of the outflow was good
so it was a dud, time to crack another S1 seed

kinda looks like outgassing? some materials that get exposed to certain heat and lights and environments. outgas and can fuck up an entire grow.. and make it look like a nute def.. or ph issue.

look into that.. if your using stuff from around the house inside your grow room.

i know it happens with some plastics.. and laminate flooring and shit like that.

thanks for the thoughts JointOperation, out-gassing should be unlikely, same grow area i've used many times, usually with much better results than these

it's grow time again
god that last plant kicked my butt
but think positive thoughts, every seed is a new chance
at 9 days, kind of delicate looking
and, dare i say it? kind of sativa looking

17 days of the veg, and a LST thrown in
not so sativa after all, more of a typical hybrid look
fine by me after that last sativa pheno misery
