C99 x 3 and a back from the dead Wonder Woman. WW is non hempy, had a terrible run with hydroton/recirculating system and threw her in soil to save it.

The seedlings look nice. In a couple of wks when you transplant them into the buckets, just be patient, you won't see a lot of top growth, but the roots below will be hitting it. Once the roots hit the rez the hempy machine will kick into gear.

Since I'm in the last wk of this flower secession, I think I can mention the next in line.

Seeds planted on 10/9. They are homemade F2 Bay 11 fems. They came from hermie pollen. My 1st run with Bay 11 I split a 10 pack, I got 5 for 5 female, one hermied on me, I didn't keep any of the seed from the plant that changed sides, but I did keep the couple of dozen seeds from the other 4 girls.
I stared 5 and the plan is to keep 3, veg a little longer and double top for mains I may keep the node below also and top once. I've done this before and the canopy is pretty level and end up with 8 colas, 4 large and 4 a little smaller.

3 seeds broke the surface on day 4 the other 2 on day 5. Photos are day 7 and day 14

11/3 Transplant from solo cup into 2 qt soil (using happy frog) cut with about 30% perlite. I've found over the yrs that if you are not going for an organic grow to cut your soil with a bunch of perlite, it drains so much better, that over watering doesn't come into play.

This run will be with OC+ only. At transplant I'm using 1 tbsp of OC+ I split it up into 3 single tsp doses at different levels. Only the 3 keepers will be transplanted.

1st shot soil mix, next the transplant, last roots shot of one that didn't make the grade.

Currently I've trimmed off more of the lower nodes, just have the top 2 now. Just about ready to top upper mains again, have to wait till the 4 node on the new mains is fully set then will cut it off so the 3rd node on the new mains. I've found that the 3rd after topping seems to work best for finish product and it produces great lower branches for clones if your keeping a mother.

Back to the flower girls. I've checked trich's a couple of times this wk and I'm still seeing some clear heads. I might have to let them go a few day past this weekend. More than 8 wks but should finish before I get to 9wks.

Earlier this wk I switched the lights back to the dual 400w cmh and took 1/2 hr of lights out. Now 11/13.
Just gonna let them coast out now. Photoshoped one of the shot to give you a close up view of the frosty bud.

The big girls are looking good! You must be salivating by now. I had to transplant a bit early as I was getting nitro toxicity from the peat moss I had them in. Been in hempy for a few days after a big flush and they seem no better or worse. Your babies look really happy though I must say

Well I couldn't wait any longer due to all the hub bub going on in the next 3wks, so I chopped em down yesterday. It's better to take them a couple of days early instead of a wk late. So they were cut after 56 light cycles. Still a little clear here and there, and less than 5% amber.
The bigger one came down first.

Both plants hanging.

Above shots are in the dark corner of my office. (flash shots focus not the best). But with the shade open there are a few mins each day the sun can hit this corner.

I'm really excited about this new cross. The bag appeal should be really high, so hopefully the buzz and overall effect will match. Got a couple of small nugs sitting on the cable box so I can sample in a few of days.

If this is as good as I expect I'll be running this again before the 2015 is over. I should have mentioned earlier that the larger girl spit out some balls at the end of wk 3. Each main put out a pair of sack located just 2 nodes above the topping. One and a half went off before I noticed them. The other 2 1/2 bundles were pulled before they opened and no more ever formed. I found 3 seeds while trimming the smaller girl, so I know I have some fem seeds coming.

But now I have to move forward. I've moved the next round out of the veg box to under the dual 400 CMH. The hood is over 3 fl above the new girls. It's still more intense than the T8's at point blank. I've second topped all, and I'll transplant to hempy buckets after I see the new mains set.

A little stuff left on the harvested, just haven't salvaged the buckets yet. Not going to re-veg, I've got more seeds to do this again.

those buds look yummy Watts

Are you going to re-veg those two harvested plants?

Not going to re-veg but I did think about it. I've got a few dozen more seeds of this "Maui Bay" I will let the little buds go a few veg light cycles to mature a little more then salvage for oil. Just burnt the quick dry sample buds, and I'm really impressed, first toke numbed the tongue just like the Maui Wowie mother, and a good creeper, thump finish. The flavor is very unique. I can't say its fruity, or sweet like the Maui, it's much closer to the very unique flavor of the Bay-11 just deeper and fuller.

Speaking of seeds the 9 lb Hammer seeds all popped, 5 for 5. Had to pry a couple of seed husks off. Four days plant to germ.

I jarred the Maui Bay on Saturday, it was hung for 6 days humidity in office was mid 30's. Today the cheap humidity meters were reading 62 to 63% which is still high for me. I've tried the 62% cure several times and have used the 62% boveda packets, and to me this is still way too moist even after 6 months cure. I currently shot for mid 50's% for long term curing.

With that in mind I think I'll lose another 10% weight for final weight. So after reducing the weighing by 10% I'll get 5.8 oz prime bud
1.5 oz of popcorn for winterized bho hash
&
1.25 oz of tight trichrome loaded trim for water hash.

So for 2 plant quick turnaround 2 gal buckets I'm okay with the return, and I'll be growing this cross again.

If its not moist (and somewhat warm) it will not ferment - won't cure.
I see absolutely no reason for a 6 month cure (?!). After 2 months with most strains you'll get mold- tasting weed that is weak and sleepy.

I cure for 4-20 days and then move the jarred to the refrigerator to STOP the curing process.

The cure is over for me when the buds taste well and the high is where I want it, then I dry the buds a bit more to the level of "grinder friendly" dryness.
