A little help with lighting pleasee

I have one plant situated in a small closet with white walls. My plant was originally out side and just recently moved into a large pot. Currently I have 3 55W cfls positioned just above the plant and I have 3 23W cfls on the walls about mid way up the plant. So far it's been a bit over week in the closet and she is still healthy and growing. It's a large plant, it has 4 large stems that seperate about mid way and open up. Any ways, I was curious about how much light would give me a descent crop. I'm pretty sure I'll need more. I was thinking of buying one more of the 55W cfls. Advise?

Just get a hps and leave the cfls you have already you should be fine and impressed with the crop you will get.

that will work well for vegg. If you cant afford a HID than you could add a few more CFLs in there and use soft white lights for flowering.

What wattage? I read that hps has best spectrum for flowering but I was mildly worried about them being a fire hazard in the small closet. How hot do they get?

They get hot but if you have the right size light for the right size space you should be okay.A 150 or 250 would be good for 2x2,a 400 for 3x3,600 for 4x4 and 1000 for a 5x5 space.Just make sure you have good temps in the growroom or a place for the hot air to go so it dont affect your grow area temps.

if you get a air cooled hood they dont get too hot.

if your doing in a small closet like that just one plant just use like a 250watt hps that should be plenty and wont have to worry about a fire hazard too much unless you have wires laying all over or some shit like that i believe
