A little help....?

Just a quick question, can some one recommend a decent grow light that does not require a balast. Preferably a MH.

And also, does anyone know the light spectrum of day light lights (the ones used to mimic sunlight and are used to treat SAD). Are they mainly red or blue?

Cheers, don't suppose you'd know if Homebase is the UK version of Home Depot? Or if you know any places that will ship to the UK?

MH uses a ballast...it just doesn't use an ignitor like an HPS does.

Cool, I just need to know about bulbs I can use indoors without the need for a balast. I've done organic out in the green house, but since it's getting to winter I'd like to use lights. I only grow one to two at a time....

there are no bulbs that don't have ballasts that would be useful in growing marijuana..even CFL's have a ballast, its just built in ;)

I have a SAD room, it is full of 5000K litetronics T8's, 20 of them.
I use them as supplements in the veg room and sidelights in the bud room. They will do clones without help.
SAD lights have strong green lines in the full spectrum, the red and blue are a little weak for efficient plant growing.
