when you are filtering the well water i suggest to add cal-mag and super thrive as directed and to avoid using those do not filter the water BUT PH your water to 0.55
most strains can take PH water over 65 but for sure you will not get good weed

How old are the plants? I go with the 100ppm per week of age, up to 800 ppm. So if your plants are 4 weeks old, then 400 is fine. 5 weeks old, 500.

What's the ppm of the water you're using? if it's lower than 250, then you'll need to add calmag for sure. If natural ppm of water is 250, then some of that is calcium, and you might be okay. My water ppm is 140, so I always have to add calmag.

And ph is important...too high or too low and your plant won't absorb the nutrients it needs. That's not my opinion, that's science talking!

I think it's around 6 weeks in. I purposely kept it small in the greenhouse for a bit while I got my room in order. My well water is about 65 ppm pre-filter, and 15 post. I have to filter the water to get the thick ass iron concentration out. The cal-mag was def the issue. I can see an improvement in just two days. I keep my ph in relative check. As I said, I'm happy between 5.5-6.5 or so.

ROFL!! Thats all ya got?? Looks completely nitrogen filled too!! Way too green. Bet it tasted horrible. Yuck!!
Hey high times, nice to see you came back like a week later to post pictures of some grow. Why didnt you tell us what miracle fertilizer you need to run RO water with no calmag huh?.....oh and the weed in that pic was better than the c99 and tiny bomb that my grow store boys were smokin on lol. BTW, its not green from too much nitrogen genius, its purple, look harder. Heres a real early one for you so you can not have to look so hard at it ;) heres a root ball from a six month jalapeno pepper plant thats as big as your weed roots, and heres a goat that thinks your full of shit too. Your like zero for four on this thread so far ya dumb fuck. That purple buds nice though huh? Or is there too much N in it?? :finger::):):)

Very true about the calcium in the water, mines at 150 and i have to add calmag as well. I dont want to argue with everyone and actually i never really argue with anybody on this site hence the sig, but have you ever grown outside the 5.5-6.5? I have, every time ive DWC'd and ive never seen any nutrient deficencies. Not once, never had a plant fail, and never had anything but great smoke. That six month jap plant i finally had to just cut down cause it wouldnt stop growing. It was over six feet across when it came down. Just pulled a 14 oz purps plant awhile back with a friend of mine. It was his and his starting ph was 8, it always got up past 9 before he did rez changes. That plant was great, smoked great, looked great although it could have purpled more but the temps were high. I wouldnt say that ph wasnt that important if i hadnt seen the results first hand numerous times. Ive never used ph down in my life. ;)

My guess is that ph sensitivity is somewhat strain dependent. I've only grown Jillybean to date, and I did experience some lockout at over 6.4ph so I'm very careful to ph to 5.8 on a daily basis. And I found the ph fluctuated depending on the growth cycle. In veg, I use ph down all the time. Then into flower, it's ph up. Then the last few weeks it holds very steady, at the same time that the plants stop taking nutes.

I'm growing a different strain on my next grow, so I'll see if it's different then.
