im north east usa and it is not to late to start like they said before you just wont yield as much but i have planted lots of plant's in july and got 2-3 ounces a plant before they turn into nice 4-5 footers but my seed's were started in mid june. better hurry up and crack those seed's man.

my girl's seem to love the heat we get hotter and hell up here and really humid and they kick ass.

They'll do fine in some shade but you probably want a good 6+ hours of direct light for nice buds. If heat and watering is an issue check out Zeba quench. It's all natural, IDK about organic though, but you add it to your soil and it holds a shit ton of water and acts like a sponge giving your plants water as they need it. If you're trying to keep your plants hidden try planting plots of just 1 along the edge of some woods, they will blend in with other the other plants and will still get sun.

Vapekush, the watering isn't really an issue, I have no problem going and giving them some every 2 days or so if necessary.

Going to go scope out the place I want to do this at tonight and clear out areas that need to be to receive enough light without causing "lookers". Hopefully I can turn this into a grow journal for y'all.

Hey! If your in Cali, and unemployed will the state pay for you to go to Oaksterdamn College, lol... Hey you can use stuff like coffee grounds and old veggies if your strapped for cash, they have been doing this for ever, just research, maybe you might need a little lime or something. And it never to late to start growing especially with outdoor growing, practice make perfect. Good luck, hope your successful. And don't pay any attention to the negative ones they don't count.

Yea, was thinking about using scraps but I haven't done a ton of research on that so I'll probably just be using teas. The stuff they have at the nursery I was talking about is good, cheap stuff. Thanks for the kind words, I'll need all the luck I can get. Fuck negativity.

Anyone have a good, cheap organic way of dealing with bugs? Looking for a quick response on that, if not, I'll do some research.

Canola oil and dish soap is classic insecticide both common household items as well

Here's my Heat tip... Get a small bread loaf baking pan (dollar store). Fill it with either water or a weak nute solution (600-800ppm) Stick it in the freezer. If you're gonna freeze nutes you gotta use organic like Botanicare pro. Other synthetics are made of salts which won't freeze. When it's solid just put the block on top of the soil. The sun will melt the Ice & the cold water will help keep the rootzone temp in check. You might want to put a handfull of mulch under the ice block depending on how close the roots are to the surface. This works great & you might get some purple in your plant. I did.

Is it effective?

I was really baked and thought that was someone advice to you hence the wtf. But that's cool if you wana throw the douche card out there. But on a helpful note this question and many like it get asked all the time. look past the first page of post, or or or just maybe Google it wow you get your answer in seconds! or if you were truly serious about growing and learning what you are doing maybe buying and or reading a few books just might help. Just saying if you don't even know when a decent time to plant is, there might be a few better options for you to try before wasting your time asking people stupid questions that get asked all day long. If you have a serious question I would be more that willing to help, however for a dumb ass post that waste server space.. you sir join the ranks of many for douche bag of the year!

Wow, obviously you have no clue. I started this because I have never done an OUTDOOR GROW and was asking if it was a good idea to plant THIS LATE IN THE GROW SEASON. I've read more than you could imagine, but the main focus of what I usually read has been for INDOOR. Controlled climates and uncontrolled climates are two different things.

And by the way, the only stupid question that was asked here is the one you posted yourself. Before calling someone a douche, make sure you can read. And these forums were made to help people learn, off of others experiences or knowledge. People learn in different ways, I myself learn by talking with others that know their shit and hands on.

And how in the hell did you think someone would advise me that I have never done an outdoor grow before? Think before you speak and we wouldn't be doing this right now.

3 out of 3 Ganesh Spirit popped
1 out of 3 Skunk #1 popped
1 out of 1 Syrup popped
1 out of 1 White Dwarf popped

Not too bad...still trying to get the other 2 skunks to pop. All have been put in soil/solo cups. The little cab I'm using is a little rubbermaid type container, it's not all that big. Currently have 4 23 watt (100 watt equal) CFLs, will be adding 2-4 more asap. For ventilation I have 2 4" personal fans, 1 for intake and 1 for exhaust. Thinking about perfecting this little box by making it stealth and adding little things it still needs. Try to get a picture tomorrow, it is in no way perfect though.

Just posting since most of you were nice enough to answer my questions. If no interest, I'll just focus more on the plants and less on the posting.

Will do this in what was going to be my indoor, which got put on hold. 1st Non-Crappy Grow is the title. Will make it this outdoor instead.

It keeps the soil cooler if that's what you want. I grow in grow bags above the ground. So my rootzone will get wicked hot if it's 90 degrees for a couple of days. I make mine about 5 inches thick out of nutes. I put it out late morning and it'll still be there at 3:00pm.
