ok, i kinda new to this so please excuse me if this is redundant question, my "babies" are about 7 inches tall now and i just toped them last night. I looked at the tops of the them and where i took the top off the have this dark brown almost resin looking substance comeing out of them. I dont know if this is normal or if i have made a boo boo so to speak. Any help on this would be greatly appritiated.

thanks

if you had a pic it would help me give you some advise . but if its only 7" tall and you topped it its not even vegging yet mogie posted a thread about a week ago about fiming and topping see if you can find it to look at the plant that was topped in her thread the only reason to top is so the lower growth can catch up to the top and be more full a 7" plant is not much more than a seedling goodluck

ok with that out of the way, if its not too much to ask i would like to know your opinion on my set up. it runs a small battery powered fan, 2 four foot daylight flouresent bulbs in between a china cabnet and a dresser. I use a 30-10-10 fertilizer once a week for two weeks out of the month, fertilizer with about a teaspoon full of epsom salt on the third week, then flush with pure water on the fourth week. Any feedback on this would be greatly appreciated and thanks for all of your answer so far.

Dude, is that a basil plant in there?! Good disguise! Looks like they're doing ok for veg, if you could set something more permanent up you'd do well. I'd say you could fit 4 young plants under that lighting, veg til maybe 12in tall then flower under something more intense

hey just a thought... changing batteries in that fan, or recharging them all the time would probably be a pain in the ass.. it is easy to wire it to an AC adapter (can be from numerous things, such as old phone charger etc), and it should work... I wired one of my fans that required 4 D batteries and it works great.

yup pepper actually but the work just as well, anywho me and my wife are in the process of findin a house so thats why i have everything in a grab and go set up, but you say when they get 12 inches i can flower them, what about clonein what would be a good way to go about that cuz i would really rather not deal with the seeds again

There are several journals posted of many different types and sizes of grows. Read through a few. with the experience you seem to have growing plants, you will be able to come up with something. Welcome to the forum. VV
