So, to clarify further... 2 + 2 = 4
and if someone comes on here, and wants to argue one day the answer is 3, and then the next day wants to argue 5 - 3.1415 = X 2
And then you have a bunch of empty headed newbie peeps thinking it must be 3 or 3.1768....and no longer 4, then they tell all their peeps 2 + 2 is no longer 4....
I think, that when guys here step in to point this out, and 17 pages later, the new someone still thinks the answer is 3.1768 or some variation...and wants to argue to the DEATH, "Come on over and kill me" < that guy is the problem.... not the next guy that says: "OK, I'm on the way over to do what you want..."
That's where the issue is for me... just saying...

That's totally understandable, and like I said, you're allowed to warn other ppl not to take his advice and you are allowed to tell him that he's wrong (in so many words), but you can't call him names relentlessly, you can't troll him, and you can't derail his threads. And if he decides to feed the wolves by acting coy, or cute or "adding fuel to the fire," so to speak, then I'll delete those posts too.
But I can't censor someone for being vauge or generic in their advice, I'm sorry.
Trust me, I've brought him up in the staff section. He's not very popular there either.
I'd like to think of this site as a leader in grow information so yeah, I think newbs spouting nonsense is detrimental to the site's rep. That's why I stopped doing it (alexander or whatever the fuck your name is). And unlike popular belief, I don't like editing and deleting posts. I don't like being that guy, but some of you are being really chilish.

Amen to it all! I've lost a thread because it turned into a bmeat bashing after a wrong reply. My page with 7 responses turned into 10+ pages. It was a little ridiculous. Glad to see you're back beansly.

Hey Beansly....I support your initiative to eliminate the trash talk/name calling.
RIU as many other forums get infected with internet bullies, which are seldom dealt with in a concise manner.
One or two bad apples can (and will) spoil the whole cart, as it soon starts to become an common acceptable standard to trash people.
Our friend bmeat has really damaged this site as he has become the site whipping boy, often he deserves the ridiculing but what has happened is he has made trashing an acceptable standard.
Many good members (including myself) have posted retaliations against his ridicules statements, but some have taken it way too far.
I personally have decided to stop posting reprisals about bmeat, as it's a waste of effort and is only creating an ugly climate for the site.
But bmeat is not evil like our internet bullies, which ironically one in particular has given you a “like” on your OP.
There are very intelligent experienced growers that will attack members who happen to have a difference of opinion, or who should happen to not agree with their methods or recommendations.
Bottom line: no one has figured out the perfect method of growing pot, as there is no one single method that works in every situation, so we all adapt.
This site should be where we can ask questions and openly share our thoughts, even if they are “out of the box” ideas...without fear of being attacked

Well said my friend, and I too am guilty of some pretty harsh flaming, but you're right, it's gotta stop. I hear both sides of the story, believe me, but we gotta maintain some level of decency, ESPECIALLY in Newbie Central because that's where a lot of the new member go to make thier first posts and we don't want to scare any of them away with some of the beligerent bullshit that goes on in there.
We don't want anyone to be afraid to ask a question, and if you're really as damn good a grower as you think you are, you should understand that these people are just starting out and are still wet behind the ears and every once in a while they're gonna ask a silly question.
It's your job as experienced, knowledgeable growers to be understanding toward their naiveté and help them through their problem without making them feel like and idiot. That's all I'm trying to say.
If you wanna be an asshole, take it to Toke n' Talk. Say what you want.
But here in this room, we want to be helpful and supportive.
