A Newb in need

Long time reader, first time poster... I have done close to a dozen outdoor grows, and a couple indoor grows before (indoor I have always had others helping me). I have never had any real problems with growing, other then minor nute lock and light burn in my early attempts. The problem I am having this grow is some major leaf death (yellowing,withering, then turning brown, then drying out) I'm aware of the fact that lower leaves tend to yellow and wither during early flowing, however in this case it seems to be spreading more then I've ever have before. Am I being paranoid or is there something seriously wrong with my grow?

ps, I have spent days reading everything I could find here about the subject but haven't seen anything Exactly like my issue. So I am hoping someone with experience will take pity.

pps. If I did something wrong like post in an incorrect place or violate some guideline, I apologize, I've never asked for help in this manner before.



-400 watts HPS + 158 watts CFL
-temps maintained around 20-22 degrees C
-watered every 3-4 days depending on how dry the soil gets.
-ferts....don't wanna say...But pinch of miracle grow, pinch of Schultz, and small amount of manure (i know everyone says miracle grow sucks, but it's worked every other grow, and I can't afford the good stuff for this grow... unless I absolutely have to)

I'll upload some pics, they are kind of hard to make out, but hopefully someone can offer advise based on what they see.

When lower leaves are affected it usually means a mobile nute def. N,P,K Mg, or Zn.

Thanks for the reply, I am using 1/4 strength miracle grow 18-18-21, 1/4 strength Schultz 19-31-17 and 1 1tbs molasses, (all per gallon) thin layer of sheep manure/per-lite mix added to top of soil. Would you happen to know what I may be deficient in? (ps, problem started after day 1 of flower, today is only day 7 with each day bringing new dead leaves)

It's a little hard to tell from the pictures. If the lower leaves are affected it could be a mag def. Add some epsom salts with your next watering and watch. It'll make a fast difference if that's the problem. I had leaves that turned yellow on me and I knew my N,P,K were cool so I added the epsom salts and the next day the yellow disappeared almost completely. Epsom salts also add sulphur to the mix and that helps in respiration and protein synthesis. Sulphur def looks like a N def.

I added some epsom salts to the mix, how long does it normally take to cease the issue? (I'm sure it doesn't go away over night, but it's still spreading)

Did it work?

I don't see anything wrong here.
