A Newbies First Grow

I'm trying to figure this one out, but it just won't give me anything to go on. Beautiful plant, but while my smaller one is popping hairs all over the place, this one isn't doing a damn thing but spreading out. Ideas??

Give it some time, it'll let you know for sure pretty soon.

Have you been seeing rapid vertical/sidebranch growth yet? I'm seeing about 2" vertical per day here. I'm at 13 hours, 53 minutes of daylight.

Growth has been rapid, without question. Both vert and side branches.

I am at 14:36 hours of sunlight today. I think my smaller one showed quicker because she is in shade quicker each night...maybe.

Two different strains too most likely.

Found this bug chillin' today. Saw a few more too. Not happy about it. Spider mites??

I really want to get on this so I can carry my two girls to harvest. Suggestions??

As a general precaution, you could do a weekly spray down with insecticidal soap. Or unleash a swarm of ladybugs in your garden...they'll stick around as long as there's food.

Edit: your leaves will tell the tale if you have harmful insects. Look for holes or discolored spots. Spider mites will be very obvious, as they'll create a web on your plants.

No web so far. Normally insect life around my babies is minimal. Seeing this today after my first pistils are popping has me paranoid. I might buy a garden sprayer and do the soap route.

Thanks

Looked it up. It has to be. Explains why I have seen 3 cases of rice-sized neon green "drips" at 3 different stem points.
Well there ya go. I'm sure you've dealt with aphids before, but just for the sake of saying it...don't let them get out of control. Insecticidal soap should be pretty effective.
