on edit: no nutrient supplements, everything is in the grow medium, but I do use AACT drench and foliar applications; once in vegetation and again during flowering.

what exactly makes up "everything in the grow medium"?

A few different things im not sure what all goes into it.I use pro mix mpx

25% Gardner & Bloome Potting Soil (contains fir bark, forest humus, peat moss, perlite, chicken manure, worm castings, bat guano, kelp meal, alfalfa meal, oyster shell, dolomite lime), 25% perlite (for air), 25% peat moss (for water retention and decomposition) and 25% decomposed cow manure (NPK). The AACT brew applications provide additional microbes to refresh the living soil which provides nutrients and micronutrients from decomposition of the grow medium.

I'm currently growing 2 Jack Herer's from seed and a G13 clone, I'm curious to see how that XJ-13 turns out, I was hoping to breed mine in a few months. Nice set up, good luck with your grow

Alright good deal I mixed up blood meal bone meal lime epsom salt and mycrohizzae into a bale of pro mix and the plants didnt respond positively at all. Im thinking since its based off a soilless mix there wasnt enough microbes etc to break down all the organic compounds and provide nutes but its just a theory.

look good. are you training any? cause i trained around half of mine and their noticeably bigger around the smaller branches toward the bottom

Pro-Mix (and other commercial nursery grow mediums) are primarily based on Canadian peat moss. A very low pH factor (mine consistently test in the 4 range) and marketed to the commercial sector who use mostly automated delivery chemical supplements to provide plant nutrients. Some do use dolomite lime to adjust the pH but many don't. Pro-Mix and other such commercial grow medium bases helped the birth of the cannabis chemical 'nute' industry over the past few years, the one with all the marketing claims, fancy names and exorbitant prices. That industry is slowly moving to organic supplements as demand for legal medical marijuana has expanded with patients requesting no chemicals for taste and environmental purposes.

There are endless successful formulas for peat moss based cannabis grow mediums all over the Internet. All require nutrient supplements in one form or another.

I will most defiantly let you kno how it turns out...Seems to be growing very good.I topped it about a week ago and its bushing out nicely

So for some reason chem dawg has not growin in weeks so I decided to investigate.I pulled it outta the 5g and discoverd it had a root mass the size of maybe a softball.So I loosened the dirt up washed the root mass clean and planted it in a 2 g bucket.Im gonna hit it hard with some roots excellerator and see what happens.I looks healthy nice green always perky and it never wilted the whole time I had it out or even when I transplanted it...

So I put the sour grape in its new home..

you happen to know the flowering period on the headband?

So today I came across a few mico caterpillars so I sprayed with safer caterpillar killer.I also found a few like half inch praying mantis on the lemon skunk so I just left her alone for now because I was not sure if it would hurt them.

Martian mean green is in the ground.....It had so many roots it was crazy.Day by day im gonna start getting them all outta the 5 gallon buckets
