A question about my 45x40x80 cabinet.

I'm going to make a small closet in the house a single plant cabin. I think with 1 autoflower and a nice lst this would be possible. Dimensions 40x45x80cm

My question is, can I use a 160m3 fan and carbon filter for this cabin? Does this fan dry the air inside too much because the cabinet is really small? Or different problems occur? I will put an extra computer fan for air intake under the cabinet.

How do you think air circulation happens?

You will want a speed controller as it will be a lot of unnecessary air exchange.

It really depends on the temp in the house.
If its warm then more exchanges per minute to keep it from getting too hot.
If its cold then you want lots less air exchange.

Either way I wouldn't use an intake. No need.

Also how big is the filter? Most are chunky, it will eat up your 80cm height

I could not find a carbon filter smaller than 160m3. It's the smallest size but you're right that it will still block my space a bit. So what do you think about humidity? Since this filter will vacuum all the air inside, will it dry the air? Will I have a humidity problem? I have a small humidifier, I will put it next to the flower pot.

It is possible to relocate the filter outside the grow space if you have enough room by placing the filter in a large bin or tote. Quick diagram

You really won't be able to control the humidity inside your cabinet. Your exhaust fan will need to be on the lowest setting. Honestly one of those ac inifity pancake cabinet exhaust fans is all you'd need.

To a degree, the plant itself will be a part of regulating humidity. The more vegetative mass inside the space, the more humidity, but it's unlikely you'll be consistently hitting 60-70% RH, but that's Ok, don't fret. IME the biggest impact you see with lower RH is decreased growth rate. Others mention it can lead to deficiencies, and I can believe that, but it hasn't been my experience. But you'll need to be on point with everything else. Proper lighting, watering, and feeding. If those are all good, you can do this successfully.

If there's a nearby window, open it up when the outside RH gets really high, like before and during a heavy rain. Get used to monitoring temps and humidity inside your cabinet, inside your house, and oudoors. It really does help to know.

The small "cool mist" humidifiers don't help. They just don't affect the RH enough to matter. You are better off with a bucket of water with a towel half in, half out evaporating as a humidifier, no joke.

They don't dry air. The remove excess humidity by changing the air. So the humidity will be the same as the room it's in.

You could always make your own filter but probably best to mount it on the other end assuming your probably going to vent into the room. If your venting outside you can buy inline filters.

Your probably only going to be using like 60-70w of light so I'd defo buy a variac or speed controller.

Buy a vent dedicated for bathrooms and toilets, they are like 100m3per hour and cost 15€, cut the hole to your ceiling or wall, mount it and than blow the air to the filter which is outside the closet. This way you wont loose any headroom in there and it is still overkill for 60x60x180 tent.

I wouldn't bother with an intake fan. Let the exhaust fan do all the work creating some negative pressure in your grow space.

Intake fin will not allow for enough CO2 exposure time for the plants. You will only need two PC fans "inline", double stacked for your exhaust. You will not find a carbon filter on the market that will work with the fans. There is a big autoflower forum and there are tons of DIY info on this subject.
