my question is i heard this is a good practice for space
and nothing suffers that bad

my question is dont you still have to wait for plant to mature
alternating nodes before you get buddage

thanks if you have the knowledge and take the ime to explain

i'm not a 12/12 grower, but my vegs are short, about 20 days
and the nodes aren't alternate, but flowering begins anyways
after flower starts, you see the nodes begin to alternate, and it does vary from plant to plant how quick/much

Its good for alot of reasons mate not just space. You always get the odd feak 12/12 from seed, the ones that just dont produce then you have strains that just dont like 12/12 from seed as well as others do. Plants still go through a veg cycle and they flower when there ready. If your thinking of trying it then drop by the 12/12 from seed thread.

I did a few plants 12/12 from seed a few months back. It sucked pretty bad. The yields were far lower than if I would have given at least a couple weeks of veg. By the time the buds were mature enough to pick, a buddy of mine had grown a crop of fast indicas with 1-2 wks of veg. He harvested 2-3 times my harvest and only 1-2 wks after mine. Even a minimal veg is desired. For what it's worth...

The biggest advantage I see from it is the electricity. I don't grow for others consumption so the yields are great for me
So I guess the advantages depend on what you're looking for out of your grow. My light bill dropped $100 so that's a win for my pocket
