A tall, floor-standing LED grow lamp that can be used as a regular living room lamp?

No what?

I'd need more than one? Is there an alternative that's a single bulb powerful enough?
A cob led light with a driver that dims fitted to one of those stands would work. One of those cree cobs with the 120° or 90° lense, something like a cxb3590 would do. They can easily do upto 150watt and im sure there are other models that can go up to 200 watt, but 100- should be ok for a couple of tall plants ( upto 6-7ft) and will give you good returns yield wise with excelent quality. They arnt too expensive now either and will work way way better than any of those bulbs you will find for those stands you put up in the pictures.

For a 1m² you want about 360w
Just look for a grow light of that range and use a rack to hang it.

This idea you want a house lamp is ridiculous , do you understand how dangerous a growlight is if its not secure?
Itl set fire to your room if it falls over

Am I going mad? Are these two links for the same product, but one is over 3 times the price?

The images look different but the specs seem to bee the same!
Like @corywebster said, around 350W/1m² for good flowering, and that's with efficient LED grow lights. Most screw in bulbs are less efficient, so something like 25 of those bulbs.

I think if you're going to commit to a grow, then you need to understand that the plants need more light than a home-decor type of light can produce. In any case, your plants won't grow well unless they have proper light.

If you're very creative, then maybe you could cobble something together and "disguise" a real grow light, somehow.

Yes, that 7-bulb thing can house more bulbs, but it's still not going to work properly....plus it's likely to produce an unhealthy amount of heat.

I have an old Nextlight fixture that actually looks pretty cool and does a great job of growing plants, too. I was thinking about using it over my basement sink....but Nextlight went out of business.

I don't have the right kind of space for this so a floor-standing, goose-neck lamp is what I'm looking for now.

I'm aware of this & said as much a few comments back. My intention was to buy one of the many E27 screw-in bulbs, thinking that something around the 200w mark would work. Unfortunately they all have E40 fitting & still aren't effective enough.

I understand now that wide LED lighting is what I'll have to buy, reluctantly.

I had a similar thing in mind & you can actually get lamp stands like you describe. Kinda ugly though.

Now that I've found the above bulbs I'm gonna just buy a floor standing reading lamp with a big enough shade...

I have one already & it's very adjustable (and it'll sit nicely in a corner of our living room when the plants are grown & harvested).

I'm just wondering if one of these bulbs will be enough for 3-4 small plants. You can get weird adapters that hold 2 or 3 bulbs but they may be harder to attach to a regular lamp fitted with a shade...

This reminds me of my cluster-Led bulb grows where i stacked and snaked as many LED bulbs as i could coming from a single origin socket..

Days of experimentation on a 3 buck budget with a 5 gram plant.. checking on it every 20 minutes... :D
