a thimble of hash

got a question I probably know the answer to. but the thing ive learned so far from this site is. it never hurts to ask.

I just ordered my bubble bags(black water) and i am eager to make some hash. my problem is my only byproduct is dubious. im pruning my autoflwers that are 6 weeks along. also im making some minor trims to my durban poison and white widow that are 6 weeks into flowering(one of each)

If i send this stufff thru the bags, will i end up with any discernible amount of hash.

Ive read fdd2blk doesnt include any fan leaves when he makes hash, but he isnt as desperate as me.

anyone one ever try this?

The potency of the trim directly impacts the quality and quantity of your end result. IMHO fans dont contribute enough to offset the "trash" they bring to the party so they get the boot.
How much dried trim will you be working with?

fan leaves hold a lot of dust and they add a nasty flavor. imo

you should get back about 10% of what you put in. 100 grams of decent trim will get you 10 grams of fine hashish. :)

probably 4-5 handfuls. should i dry it? i read somewhere that i could pop it into the freezer and pull it out when it was time for production

My suggestion would be to search this forum about hash making but I will give you some of my tips. To make a good product or, "full melt", certain things must be done to achieve it. Put your dry trim in the freezer for an hour. The colder the water and trim, the more likely the heads will fall off from the trim. After you add your ice, trim, and h20, let it sit for 20 minutes to ensure that the entire mixture is well below 32 degrees.

When I am mixing, I use my workbag in a separate 5 gal. This increases the volume of the mix (more trim can be added) and makes it easier to mix because your not hitting the sides of the bag due to 8 bags being in 1 bucket. It also reduces the chance of trim from polluting your full melt.

After the work bag gets mixed and is strained, I keep it in another bucket to use again (it should be washed twice. The second time you will get almost as much!) I pour the left over liquid into the other 5 gallon bucket with the 7 other bags and let it sit for 30 minutes. Then is scrape it off the screens, let it dry, and press it.

i never freeze my trim anymore. i dry it and throw it in a hefty bag until i'm ready to run it. i just so happened to run a batch yesterday. i have half of it pressed so far.

mad rep fro you. :bigjoint: :blsmoke: bongsmilie
Why thank you thank you sir!

I also forgot to mention Jim, spray your bag screens with cold water after use. This helps to not clog up the screens after prolonged use and helps in making them last! Don't use hot water though! It can meld the heads and block the screen.

If your bags ever get too clogged, use to iso. alcohol on them and wash with cold water.:hump:

How come all of your hash looks gooey? When I made mine, i pressed the water out by hand and let the hash dry over night and now they are all hard as a rock!!!

I'm not gonna buy any more reggie. Im gonna patiently wait three more weeks until my crop is done. Consuming that crap would feel like a sacrilege after the pride high I felt last nite
I also wanna give mad rep to all u indicas out there, for flowering so damn fast

could anybody direct me to a good hash pressing technique link or post or tell me if pressing is even necessary . every time i make hash i just leave in shards but would to press it to make it uniform for patient use.

i also never freeze my trim and only use "sugar leaves". The fan leaves tend to knot up into a ball and don't carry many trichs.
