tell you what. you waste your time lamenting the unfortunate victims of violence, while those of us with functioning frontal lobes will ponder why terrorist camps, headquarters and weapons caches are generally found in neighborhoods and hospitals. in contrast, most civilized military forces store their weapons and secure their command bunkers in areas NOT populated with kids and old people.
but then when civilized countries establish their military outposts and depots they consider the safety of the local population, rather than their value as awesome propaganda photos when they INEVITABLY get hit.
i guess it was the US Army that tied kids to their tanks in syria,, as a new form of ablative armor, and it was the US Marine Corps that shrugged, and started ablatiing that armor with total disregard for the safety of the "plates"
