youre story is full of holes.
german bomb factories were not largely targeted by the US due to their proximity to civilians. the US did targeted daylight bombings at great risk to our fliers in order to reduce the casualties to civilians during most of the war (until Gen. Lemay laid out a new plan, see Dresden for details)
the british performed nighttime bombings of all enemy factories they could reach, including steel smelts, ball bearing factories small arms factories, tank factories etc... most of germany's heavy weapons facilities were outside british range, and thus safe, the few that were in range got FUCKED UP and so did the workers in the factories (civilians mostly, including prisoners of the nazi regime) and the people living nearby.
its called war. the germans preferred even less discriminating attacks, which was why Gen Lemay offered his new plan, to give the germans what they gave. the same holds true for al quaeda.
Yemen is a lawless frontier, a large portion of the country is controlled militarily by militant forces, and alquaeda. you cant send in a team of cops to arrest him, and he was planning, and had carried out attacks against US targets, both military (thats war.) and civilians and THAT is terrorism. the US did not carpet bomb his neighborhood with 500 pound dumb bombs, or lay the entire region to waste with FAE devices (look it up) he was TARGETED with a precision guided missile,, with good cause. the people around him could not have been stupid enough to believe he was just some innocent guy with a beard. nobody is that dumb. anybody who loiters in the area with a target runs the risk of getting hit with the target. i dont give a rats ass whether alawaki junior was on the hit list (he wasnt) or not. he was hanging with terrorists, and thus endangered himself.
his buddy al banni was not a youth minister, or a boy scout leader. he was a terrorist, and people who hang out with him should have chosen their associations more carefully. thats why i say TOO FUCKING BAD
